Felger: Patriots fans are going to have to be patient with Brady

I like Felger and I like his style and the part I like most about him is everything he says jerks a knot in so many peoples ***es. He's not a Patriots/Red Sox/Celtics/Bruins ballwasher like so many other reporters are, so relax and come in off the ledge already.

Christ.

There's a difference between choosing not to be a homer and choosing to be a crap-stirrer. One can be objective without constantly finding the negative story, especially when there's really not a negative story to actually find.

And may I add, Boo Yah.

Do people even bother to read around here.

There is not one instant where Felger says anything negative about Brady, just saying don't be surprised if it takes him a little while before he regains his form. Even his throwing coach says the same thing, but obviously people here know better.

Besides Felger and Breer saying these things, our own Christopher Price wrote about it a few months ago.

Christopher Price | Martinez: Brady will struggle, but he'll succeed

Is he also a crap stirrer?

Boy who cried wolf. When you have a writer who is notorious for taking the negative angle all the time, it becomes difficult to say he's being objective.

And my particular objection is to the Manning comparison. I have no problem tempering my expectations for Brady early on, but Manning has nothing to do with it.

Since I'm the one who used crap-stirrer, perhaps you'll want to review my post. It was a general response to a general post made by someone else, and was not aimed at this particular story.

I know the Manning comparison is wrong. But we also have to remember that Manning had a procedure to correct an infection, not an injury. Brady's knee was blown up. I don't know what would be easier to overcome from, and I don't just mean physically.

I didn't mean to say anything about what you wrote. I just liked the term crap stirrer better than pot stirrer. You're alright. :eat3:

If you know that the Manning comparison is wrong, then why do we have to remember that? The logic of saying "these two issues aren't comparable, so still compare them anyways" is... not sound.

I also think the some people forget that Brady has previously worn a knee brace at times during his career.

Didn't you know that not being a ballwasher for the Pats is against the rules.

LOL, I guess I missed that memo, thanks for pointing that out............

Talk about being over the top towards the guy; you act like he constantly stirs up crap, he is not a homer, not a local team ballwasher, so either deal with it or ignore him, pretty simple................

I don't act like anything. I replied to your post, nothing more. However, since you decided to come back to this, he does frequently stir up crap. Acting like he doesn't just makes you look like his publicist given that even the people on his radio station give him the business about it.

uhh... nope. Felger just sucks, plain and simple. He is an absolute crap-stirrer, and that's exactly why nobody likes him.

Felger mentions that Brady was rusty in practice and had knee stiffness--was that true? If anything, I thought Brady had a strong practice and according to teammates looked like his usual self.

As someone that is constantly at odds with Diver on the PoFo, I have to completely agree with him here. :

HA!

I bet that sucked to write.....we should journey to the pats forum when the political gets too dumb for both of us.....

which is often!

How pi$$ed do you think brady gets when he even hears reporters doubt his ability?

This season can't start fast enough.

And since you decided to come back to this, I'll say again he's one of my favorite reporters because he's not a ballwasher............

Ok, that settles it then, nobody likes him according to you; did you take a poll and ask every sports fan in Massachusetts?

Enlighten me and tell me where you got the information to make that brilliant remark.

Reporters are not yahoo fans, hate to break the news to you, their job is to report, not to be ballwashers.

Felger ... words of wisdom from Felger .. that is inane.

Felger's story was from yesterday, so he could be referring to any other practice before today's, which is the one that was descried as a stronger practice.

Manning and Brady are compared about virtually everything by the fans, why stop now.
