WEEI.com: Quick Notes From Tuesday's OTA

Nice work, Chris. You know how much we look forward to media access day. Keep it up!

I didn't think this guy had a shot a few weeks ago, but now I'm starting to think he at least ends up on the Practice Squad:

•Wrestler-turned-football-player Jermail Porter continued to work with the offesive lineman, and jumped into the right tackle spot on a handful of drills. As was the case last week, he didn’t do anything to call attention to himself in a negative fashion, and looked nimble and confident for much of the session. (While the starting offense was on the field, Nick Kaczur appeared to take most of the snaps at the right tackle spot.)

Porter playing OT...does this mean that The Kraut wasn't?

Caserio's role is interesting.. quite different than Pioli's..

Sea Bass has been working at LT per PFW. Actually it sounds like everybody on the OL has been getting in a lot of work.

Sebastian “Sea Bass” Vollmer continues to work at left tackle opposite Ryan O’Callaghan with a group that generally follows tackle reps given to Matt Light (LT) and Nick Kaczur (RT). Wesley Britt often took the next reps on the left side with rookie George “Bus” Bussey on the right.

Thanks for remembering Porter Chris, and great to hear he is improving.

With him, I think the bar needs to be adjusted. You're not looking for him to set the world on fire, but you're not looking for him to fall all over himself. With that in mind, I'll say this -- he doesn't look like a Pro Bowler, but he seems to be doing well. When it comes to measuring a good practice for a Patriots' offensive lineman, I look at two things: did they have to run a penalty lap for a false start, or did Dante Scarnecchia verbally undress them in a colorful fashion at some point (which he is won't to do after a mistake by an o-lineman)? Neither has happened to Porter thus far. I'll keep an eye on him for you, and don't be shy about asking me about other guys -- we have one more media availability session as part of the final week of OTA's (next Tuesday, if memory serves.....)

Chris thank you so much for the info. We appreciate it. :)
