He was on NFLTA, I mean please go retire, we will have 700 posts on him possibly signing with the Pats, then he will end up signing with Cleveland.. Seriously Ty, you were great but you danced around with us since 2005...

2005- chance to come back- signed with the jets

2006 was close to coming back- signed with the chiefs

2008 almost came back - signed with the jets...

Im sick of ty law, if he was half the player he was with us in 2003, I would jump at the chance, but he is not even close.. Thanks Ty , but no thanks.. Go sign with Clevleand..

Seconded.

And yes, there are too many posts and news items about this guy as well. I guess the more interesting question is why him?

Pats history? Previous drama? Cool name? I don't know.

Usually I give players the benefit of the doubt and wait to here their side before I take any internet posters to heart. After seeing Ty on NFLN last night, everything that everyone posted about him was true.

i think everyone hate's ty not because he never signed back with the pats but because he had 2 or 3 more all pro year's with the jets and KC

dion branch cryed like a lil baby to be payed like a top 5 WR when he never had a 1000 yerd season he sit out most of the year when brady had no one to throw the ball to

but no one care's because we now see that he's a injury prone subpar WR

when ty law left we had hobbs and samuel 2 good young starting CB

when dion branch left the pats leading receiver was Reche Caldwell a guy who has not even made a team in 2 year's

when ty law left he had 3 ring's and was still the best all around corner in the NFL if the pats did not want to pay him and the jets did that's not he's falt

Seriously, does anyone really care that much about Law anymore? So he was on Total Access campaigning for a job, I really don't blame him. If he wants to play, he should do whatever he can to get a new job especially if people aren't actively knocking on his door.

I didn't see his appearance, but out of work players do this all the time. Just because he decided on the Jets over the Patriots, I am not going to continue to appreciate what the guy did for the Pats during his tenure here. He played at a near HOF level and was a key component of two of the three Super Bowl winning teams.

Yeah, I agree. Ty Law is one of my all-time favorite players. I don't really know what he's said other than teasing that he's going to return to the Pats a few times, but that's not really enough to bother me. Part of me would love to see him come back for one more run, but I don't know where he'd fit...

two or three all pro years??? I think you need to get glasses...

Each year, Ty flirts with the Patriots and then jilts them and

signs with another team.

Correctamundo. Ty is one of my all time favorites. Sure it was tough to watch him in green but he did to much for the Pats for that to make a difference. I bet all you posters who are dogging Ty now will all be back in his corner come Hall of Fame induction time.

Ty IMO is one of the few Bonified hall of famers from our dynasty.

You can't blame him to want more money, but it's not like the Patriots didn't offer him a reasonable contract. Players take less money to play for the Pats because they want to win. If they want an extra million or so to play for a loser then they don't have the right mentality in the first place.

The "problem" with Ty Law is that he ended up not being what we all wanted him to be: a team-oriented guy who valued winning more than maximum $$$.

No kidding...when Ty left here he was overweight and limping yet we offered him the same real money he got from the JETS...the problem most of us had with Ty's shenanigans was he had 2-3 years better than Duane Starks or Deltha O'Neill left in him within this system and we could have used them but he chose instead to piss them away for the same money if not a little less...rather than remain merely part of something collectively special and potentially record setting with a FO and fan base who were repeatedly willing to forgive him his greed and ego driven emotional shortcomings...

As for this year, his ship has sailed. And with it possibly his shot at Canton. You don't get in based on 3 solid years on a juggernaut when you had marginal impact before or since, particularly when you hang around at the back end on bottom dwellers long enough to prove it really was largely the system...I know he had 10 picks late and went to the pro bowl as a JET, but I also saw how he played that year and how little impact his largely gimme picks had and how damaging his PI's were early on. Samuel had 10 picks here once playing the same position. We'll see that it was the system in his case as well...last season he had 4.

You have better things to talk about on Tue in June in the offseason... ??

Sign him. I love that fat bastard.

What did he say on Total Access?

Basically that the Patriots had to be the team the beat in the NFL right now. Very complimentary of Brady, saying how he was always in the middle of the jumping around/getting pumped before the game which is often rare for a QB. Also mentioned Brady has been working with someone Ty knows as well, not sure if it's a strength coach or what but Law made him sound like the best in the business.

You can watch it here...

Ty Law, the Patriots version of Brett Favre. And yet, somehow, he escapes all the vitriol.

Hmmm.....

Hmmm.....

I dunno about that, there's alot of silly anti-Ty folks here.

And anyhoo, If you're looking for a reason why, I think it's LOYALTY. Ty was the MF-ing man for the Pats. Brett never was for the Jets or Vikings.

Hmmm.....

Oh, not all...not by a long shot. Lots of us are sick and tired of his selfish act as well as Brett's.... You must be selectively reading.
