Colts coaching changes fluster Manning

I can't tell you what's going on. I will say I don't think it's been the most properly communicated scenario around here.

It's not a situation that I'm just thrilled about. I think the communication has been pretty poor in my opinion. Somebody says one thing, then somebody else says another thing.

I'm not sure everybody's on the same page in this building. I'm just trying to focus on playing quarterback well. It's not normal not having a full coaching staff. I know we hired a couple of guys to come in, but these guys are learning. They're not offering a lot of coaching out there, I can assure you of that.

manning's already warmin' up the bus.

My gut tells me that with Dungy gone so is a guy that the players absolutely loved as their leader and with Harrison gone so is Peytons old partner which looks to me as the Colts having a pretty tough year and I estimate to the tune of or close to a 9-7 season and 3rd in that division.

(to the tune of the star trek next generation opener)

Manning's a b*itch! Manning's a b*itch! He has a vagina! A giant vagina!

Calls'em as he sees'em, I'll hand him that. There's never been a player (quarterback) - coach in the NFL, right? ;)

On second thought, I don't think you want to be exposing your coaches already. Good fun for us though.

The downfall of the Colts has already begun and I love it!

So he's already looking for excuses to losing in the Playoffs this year huh? Who does it this season? Steelers, Pats, Chargers or the wild card team that probably gets in through the back door?

What took you guys so long? There's already a 10 page thread on this on PatriotsPlanet! :D

No offense guys, but the title you chose to post about 'not being thrilled with new coaches' is not representative of the point he was trying to make. The new OL and WR assistants were hired a week ago, so of course they aren't doing any coaching right now! They are simply learning the system for now.

He's not thrilled bc he'd probably rather this have been resolved in February as opposed to June. Wouldn't you think this pension stuff should have already been resolved by now?

Wow, what a leader.

That is not what he is saying. At best he's complaining about their lack of experience(all new to their roles at any level), at worst he's complaining about them putting in a system that he isn't agreeing with.

You're missing the point, it has nothing to do with a new system or anything like that, bc the system isn't changing. The coaches he's talking about (the new OL and WR assistants/interns, NOT the new coordinator or OL coach), were just brought in in the last week, and have to first learn the system considering they just got here. So they have fewer coaches who are ready to coach the offense right now than what they would otherwise have. Like he said, "not a full staff". So he's not complaining about new OL coach Metzelaars, considering he wasn't "just hired to come in". He was talking new hires Winters and Johnson just getting hear in late May as opposed to late February or March.

Who else has had to hire new coaches at the end of May bc of some change in pension rules that should have been settled much earlier in the offseason? That is the whole point.

I think its about time somebody grew some balls and said what was on there mind, I wouldn't be thrilled about the situation either if I was him and I would voice my displeasure if I wasn't happy.

Here are all of the quotes from what he said. The media took remarks from a few different questions and basically cut out everything else he said. He clearly wanted to talk about how they were trying to improve as a team and such in answers to the same question, yet it gets ignored. They basically made a big story out of something that wasn't. As a football fan and not a gossip columnist, I would have rather a story on Marvin Harrison or working with the other young players as opposed to this nonsense.

The fricken media sucks. You can explain something throroughly, being careful to say the right things, yet the media pulls quotes out of context and mixes them with other quotes pulled out of context. Pretty soon, they'll be pulling individual WORDS out of context and stringing them together. Fundamentally, it's the same thing.

"Rain Manning" likes everything just so.

Now Dungy isn't there to hook up the TV to watch The Price is Right. Even if he was, it wouldn't matter since Bob Barker retired anyway. The Colts stopped getting his underwear from K-Mart, and to top it all off, somebody touched his notebook.

He's busy pacing and reading the phone book.
