From DanShanoff.com:

Take note of one underrated quote from Urban Meyer from Schlabach's piece: "At the end of the day, Tim is going to be a very good NFL player. If he goes to the right team and a well-coached team, he's going to be a very productive player for a very long time."

That kind of statement just confirms my strong feeling of Tebow's draft prospects: Tebow will be drafted by Bill Belichick and the Pats. (That Meyer will take over for Belichick in a few seasons when Belichick retires, to coach his protege Tebow, is just an added conspiracy-theory bonus.)

Nothing against Tebow, but . . . :ugh:

Belichick is in Gainesville EVERY offseason, so I don't think it's too far-fetched to believe he would take a look at Tebow or any other Gator for that matter.

FWIW, he also writes for The Sporting News, and used to work for ESPN.com.

Adds some credibility. I just think it's hilarious how people make these kinds of statements 11 months before the draft.

What if he has a terrible year? What if he's asked to pass more and proves horribly inaccurate out of the pocket? What if he starts to get inspiration from Cheetos (Couple finds Jesus in bag of Cheetos - Today - syracuse.com ) and gains a ton of weight?

It's a time for many columnists to make bold statements because if they're wrong, we'll forget them. Pretty lame.

The Patriots will trade Tom Brady to the Raiders for the first pick

in the draft to get Tebow. With Brady at quarterback, the Raiders

will win 4 Superbowls in a row.

He''s not the first blogger/columnist/talking head to predict Tebow to the Pats next year.

I can see it happening, although it won't be in the first round. Belichick loves versatility and players with the X factor - we looked at White for a long while this year, and he's Tebow-lite.

BB would get Tebow on the field and in situations to help the team win, and that's all he cares about.

I am doubtful that Tebow will even be a 1st round pick, no less the #1 overall pick. Unless Tebow can turn into a WR conversion like Harvin.

I agree. I can see Tebow sliding down into the second round and there is BB with 3 second round picks.

The real question is where does BB play Tebow and I think Tebow becomes an HB/receiving TE. As well as reserve QB.

I think we're jumping the gun here a bit. Can he block? Can he catch? Can he run patterns/get by defenders?

In the end, it's going to be a question of whether a part-time contributor is worth a second-round pick. Tebow could get drafted in the top 64. He also could end up being Eric Crouch, another athletic, Heismann-winning QB without a true spot in the NFL.

Who knows? I can't even tell if Tebow is considered a legitimate NFL QB prospect or not. This is a guy who could go anywhere between 1st overall and 3rd round, depending on how he develops as a senior. Bottom line is we won't even have a clue until at least next February.

And who wants to even think about next year's draft with such a stacked team heading into the season?
