10/26/07: Belichick has to be a little worried about the Skins Result: Pats 52, Redskins 7

2/05/07: Pats won't miss Rodney Harrison Problem: It was based on the Pats having Eugene Wilson, but he had been on IR for weeks.
10/29/07: Complete lie by Clayton Says the Pats were throwing for a TD on 4th down, when they ran the ball.
These guys make thousands and thousands of reports and pass on even more bit of information than that. It's great that we can all pummel these guys because they aren't perfect.
Right, why should we expect a reporter to get the facts right and not go overboard with baseless speculations and false prophecies...
It might be best not to confuse "reporter" and "sportswriter" - we're spoiled by Reiss' patience in generally only reporting facts. That's not the common approach, especially as the market they preside over grows.
Look at Marshall Faulk - he's never right about anything and he's on TV.

Would at least expect some stories to come true with their lead writer...but too much to expect there.
some of John Clayton's predictions:
Pretty much sums it up. I think our chances of signing Taylor are about 100 times better now.
His reports have far more correct facts and predictions than they do errors.
You claiming otherwise just makes you look like a fool.
Aren't perfect? Aren't perfect? I guess you could say someone who scored 200 on his SATs wasn't perfect, but did you look at the list of predictions inthe above post? The best you can say is about a guy who is wrong week after week is that he "aren't perfect"?These guys make thousands and thousands of reports and pass on even more bit of information than that. It's great that we can all pummel these guys because they aren't perfect.
And yet as the lead reporter for them he is consistently inconsistent with his reporting there. By JMT57's list alone is averaging one erroneous report per month of the season for at least the last three years- and that's just for the Patriots.
He's far more correct all right
Right I'm a fool to expect him to report facts and not facts that are quickly proven false, outright false rumors, or clearly nothing but speculation...then then a fool I am
"ESPN's John Clayton reports the Patriots may be holding out to make a run at LaVar Arrington."

First of all, how many things do you think he reports on in a month?
But you keep on digging.
That's a cheap excuse. Numerous eporters and writers with as many if not more blog posts and articles than him still manage to get their stories right.
Right I'm digging...OK then
Name me the major (i.e. National) sports reporter who speculates on future happenings and gets all his stories right. Hell, name me a local one if you can.
