Ian's Daily Blog - According to a report by John Tomase of the Boston Herald, Rodney Harrison,*who previously did a solid job with NBC during its Super Bowl coverage, has apparently drawn interest from the television networks.**Harrison is being named as a possibility to replace Jerome Bettis of NBC, who reportedly won’t be returning for a fourth season.*Harrison, who [...]

Harrison would be a great choice, bring an edge & attitude with him

I know our depth chart is filling up but I still would love him back somehow.

Almost too good to be true. Sure I'll miss him as a player, but I'll be happy if he can move around and play with his kids. Lot of injuries the last few years, pursue the future while you're fit enough to enjoy it.

Thanks Rodney. Best short time Patriot evah. (maybe. can't think of better)

He can always stay on the shadow roster ala Seau.
Can't he?

I'd love to see him back to help coach up Patrick Chung and Brandon Meriweather... if only in a reserve role. However, he needs to do what's best for him, and television would certainly hit his style.

I hope NBC knows what their getting. An intelligent, well-spoken football player that won't buy into the "chicken little" philosophy of most of the talking heads and that actually knows the Patriots and what they're really about. Besides, it would be fun to see him contradict all the ignorant ramblings of the idiots that he would be on with.

Want to to see Rodney Broadcast a game that he's plaing in. That would be fantastic!

I want to see him on the NFL network personally. CBS at 12 on Sundays is a safe bet tho.

I kinda like Rodney, and I was hoping he would be coming back for another season.

But, now I'm thinking that I don't want to see him injured again like the one last year and the time in Pittsburg. Maybe it's time.

Which may be a good reason why he won't be with them if he does go the media route...he has to have a better place elsewhere away from those current clowns, and he might look a bit out of place among the rumored new cast.

A good point well-said.

Rodney looked a bit nervous his 1st time but his next was better. I think he has a good future if he so chooses as he is intelligent and gets to the point quickly and succinctly ... I hope he makes it.

This would be a great site to see for the Patriots' home opener this season...

I saw him on NFLN sometime ago hes a good analyst that doesn't just say what is expected hes not afraid to go against the grain. I remember reading something that he might be interested in being a referee because he has such great knowledge of the game and rules. His love for the game and hate for the Steelers makes him one of my favorite Patriots hope to see him on TV or wearing 37 soon!

Godspeed Rodney! I look forward to seeing him as an analyst.

good for him walk a way from the game will u still can walk go to tv and in 5 yers #37 will be called on again by the
HOF

I remember asking Gasper about this (a while ago) and he mentioned Rodney had signed a TV deal. I think he's purely shadow roster material, and even that's doubtful.

It was in his face when he was riding away for the last time.

Ugh. That sucked.
