You know that the Dalai Lama has nothing to do with God, right?

If there is a God, I sure hope he's worrying about more important crap than football.

If they were truly God's team, Asante would caught that INT!

Well, the Dalai Lama and his monks claim he is a reincarnated God.

Well, this isn't a place for religious discussion but you know not of what you speak.

Did we need the Dali Lame to tell us that.

I thought God sent us BB as a reward:)

Get up on the wrong side of the bed today, did we?

We're getting off topic, but look at this link. The Dalai Lama and is monks claim him to be a "God-King", a reincarnated God. Tibetan Buddhism is different from Buddhism in that they have a supposed human reincarnated God.

Dalai Lama as God-King -- The Dalai Lama in Tibetan Buddhism

This is getting off topic but since some of you are ignorant about the Dalai Lama, I'll also add that before 1950, if you weren't a monk in Tibet, you were basically an illiterate slave (95% of the Tibetan population).

Sounds a lot like Jets fans. That's probably why the Dalai Lama appeared in Gillette and not Giants Stadium.

Look at my link: your opinion is that of someone else's opinion that reflects a general consensus of viewpoints from Western thought.

You put as much thought into this as you do any subject regarding Pats.

Somehow providing evidence is now a bad thing? Keep playing earmuffs to reality, and just make up opinions not based on any facts other than your uninformed viewpoints.

Here is another link about how he and his monks see him as a living, reincarnated God:
Tibetan Buddhism, Dalai Lama, Bon

It's not as forthright or a simple as you intend to make it. I am not a Buddhist but my brother is and your simplistic sense to explain what they term as "God" is not interpreted as such from Sanskrit. In other words, I would no more interpret another team's playcalling signals from my own cache of terms if my only volume of knowledge was my own playbook.

If the Dalai Lama indicates that living things all strive to "happy" even simple plants, do you interpret that as, he is saying humans are plants?

Your brother is Buddhist, but you don't even know that the Tibetan form of Buddhism is very different from the rest of Buddhism? Only 6% of the world's Buddhists practice the Tibetan form of worshiping a human God-King known as the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama does not represent all or even a large minority of Buddhists, you don't even know that?

Who are you, the Peter King of religion? Why don't recite some more crap you googled.....

The article you posted as reference is bunk. Check some more sources, and it will become obvious. Although sometimes mistranslations can be the cause of errors in a publication, it is not the case here. If you read to the end of the article, it becomes obvious that the mistranslation is deliberate.

Tibetans consider the Dali Lama to be a tulku, not a god. Tulku - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tulku's are not dieties, and the current Dali Lama is said to be an emanation of Chenrezig.

Also, there are MANY schools of Buddhism and Tibetans are not the only one that believes in tulkus. If you think there is just Tibet Buddhism and then the "rest of Buddhism", you shouldn't be participating in this conversation.

You are correct, though, that like other landlocked, mountainous regions in Asia, Tibet was a feudalistic society into the 20th century. The Dali Lamas, being the head of the Tibetan government do hold some share of responsiblility, but when you consider how weak their rule actually was, and that they only held power from 1912 to 1949, it's more than a little bit silly to lay it all at the feet of Dali Lamas.

It might be worth looking at more than one slanted article before you start tossing the term "ignorant" around.
