i dont think Gostkowski wanted any part of #4 he was all redy replaceing the greatest K of all time im sure he did not want hes number to i know i wound not not that i can kick pass or catch lol:D

Doesn't really matter, per Reiss:

Aware of the pressure Gostkowski could be facing, the Patriots gave him two choices for his jersey number -- 3 and 5.

Oh noez!!!!

I approve on all the numbers. Mayo will look tight wearing #51, Crable will remind me of Julian Peterson wearing #98 and #22 is a good number for Wheatley.

and here post #22 http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...-bold-predictions-pats-2007-a.html#post422602
1. Moss will look TIGHT in a Pats uniform and catch deep bombs all day.
2. Stallworth will look TIGHT in a Pats uniform and catch deep bombs all day.
3. A.D. will look TIGHT in a Pats uniform. He will line up at ILB, OLB, DE, CB and S.
4. Maroney will continue his quest for TIGHTNESS now that he is the starting running back and has a year under his belt. If healthy, he should rush for at least 1,400 yards. No more safeties in the box spying on Maroney.
5. Brandon Merriweather will look TIGHT in a Pats uniform and will wear the same visor he whore at Miami. Will be a starter day 1.
6. This will be the year that Tom Brady breaks the 30+ TD mark and may push for 40.
7. The Pats offense will be at least top 5 and may push for the best offense in the NFL.
8. Chad Jackson's quest for TIGHTNESS will have to take a back seat due to him rehabbing his injury. With the new additions, why rush him back?

25's decent I guess...he woulda looked better, IMO with a 30's or even a 40's if he was a true sticker.

???

Ed Reed #20

Brian Dawkins #20

Adrian Wilson #24

3 of the best safeties in the league besides Polumalu

#25 for Chung is as good as any other number--let's hope he can play

If I recall the Patriots had a pretty good safety in the 1980's named Rick Sanford. He led the NFL in interceptions in 1983. He was a first round pick by the Pats. He is now a Dr. (Chiropractor). He was #25
