According to the link below the NFL-N will still be available on Comcast as the sides have had a "breakthrough" in negotiations.

It's amazing how dollar signs can break through just about anything.

It'd be nice if they could have a "breakthrough" with Time Warner.

This seems to be standard operating procedure in negotiations for Comcast and Time Warner, waiting till the 11th hour to work out a deal - whether it be with the NFL Network or local over-the-air stations.

I say if the could break up the old AT&T twenty five years ago, then why not break up the new AT&T, aka Comcast.

Hopefully, NFLN took a long look at insolvency and smartened up enough to accept being put on a pay tier.

I'm thinking that could very well be what happened.

IMO, NFLN needs Comcast a lot more than Comcast needs NFLN.

You're right.

Funny thing, I was so prepared to lose NFLN, I may just drop it now anyway.

I can get it back if the Pats play a game on NFLN next fall, but I've had about all of Jamie Dukes I can stand for a while.

Whatever happened to Adam Shefter? He and Eisen were the guy I liked best. And TD and Woodson and long-gone Lincoln Kennedy.

Shefter apparently is done at NFLN and is going to ESPN, but I guess the latter isn't official.

There ought to be a class-action suit against comcast & NFLN for wasting everyone's time on this matter for the past two months. And another against NFLN for Jamie Dukes.

So, this worked out great. Comcast sent out a letter offering me (I assume everyone else as well) 6 free on demand movies or a free pay-per-view event for any inconvenience the NFLN scuffle might cause. I took the free movies, and now I don't lose NFLN... win-win :D

I was sooooo prepared to lose it, and thank God that I've still got it. I'm not ready to live in a world where ESPN is my only option for televised football coverage--the idea they consider people like Cris Carter and Emmitt Smith an expert is abhorrent to me.

Jamie Dukes, "Prime Time" Sanders and Marshall Faulk aren't exactly a dream come true, either. ESPN is the worst sports channel in the world, except for all the other ones.

Ack. I forgot about Marshall. And Sterling Sharpe ain't winnin' any Emmy's soon, either.

Baldinger is good. They need to hang onto him.

Oh, there are some good ones, don't get me wrong. Collinsworth, despite what some here may claim, is very good at the job. However, for every Collinsworth, there's an Emmit Smith.

Collinsworth does a great job, It took me a while to get used to him - But I enjoy watching when he's doing a game now. He'll do a nice job on SNF tis year.
