If you have ever built a business, especially a consultancy, you know that people do not represent lasting value for your company, regardless of how professional and competent they are.
However, using these "stars" to create a structure and documentation of how the consultancy is run is how you create value. BB knows this obviously, which is why he keeps losing great talent but keeps on chugging.
While I am not suggesting that losing these pros doesn't hurt, I am saying that as long as you used their talent to create that structure, you do not suffer as large a loss of continuity and productivity as long as you continue to plug in other successful professionals.
