Muraco was directly responsible for drafting Chad Jackson, Guss Scott and Dexter Reid. Unfortunately, he was also the one who was high on Ty McKenzie.

Pioli clearly agreed, when he accepted the Chiefs job, that he would not raid any Pats scouts until AFTER the draft, at which point people became fair game.

Pretty fair resolution, and hardly surprising. Obviously, some people would be tight with SP and want to join him in his new digs.

i hope Pioli and all the scouts and coachs do great but who ever leves here dose not do to good this team is all about BB great coaching and them geting lucky by drafting tom brady in the 6 round and him turning out to be the greatest QB of all time

Not draft, but how about scouting them?

I doubt they would allow just anyone to go, it was hinted at before by members here that they probably have a list of who is OK to leave and who is off limits, he was probably one of the OK to leave guys...

While the Pats may be losing some scouts, keep in mind that one of the things that has made the scouts effective is BB's relationship with college coaches. While I'm sure Pioli has developed positive relationships of his own, BB hasn't suddenly lost of all those relationships. It is those relationships that will continue to contribute to the effectiveness of the Pats' scouts under BB.

If you have ever built a business, especially a consultancy, you know that people do not represent lasting value for your company, regardless of how professional and competent they are.

However, using these "stars" to create a structure and documentation of how the consultancy is run is how you create value. BB knows this obviously, which is why he keeps losing great talent but keeps on chugging.

While I am not suggesting that losing these pros doesn't hurt, I am saying that as long as you used their talent to create that structure, you do not suffer as large a loss of continuity and productivity as long as you continue to plug in other successful professionals.
