What's the deal with Colvin? Is he gonna get an invite to camp or what? He didnt play terrible down the stretch, and if the foot is finally healed up, he can still bring some pass rush off the edge.

Anyone else wanna see him back for another go-round in '09?

I think we're almost at camp numbers already.

I just don't see it happening.

After getting a good look at Redd and Woods, I think these dudes and Crable are gonna bring some serious heat. Once their tech is maxed, that's a LOT of youth and speed off the edge.

And AD coming the other way? Bwahaha....

Not worried. To me, if something like Peppers or even Taylor happens, this D is gonna give teams fits. #2 or #3 D this year is a definite possibility.

i agree BB is going with the young guys

Rosie may have healed but looked a bit slow at rushing the passer last season ala Vrabel - If BB wanted a guy like Vrabel out there he probably would have kept Mike on the roster instead - Its very obvious BB sees the future of our LBs and those future are guys in their early/mid 20s

If he is still available, do they bring him in heaven forbid one or more of the youngsters gets injured?

Probably make the "shadow roster", but was not all that impressed with his level of play last year.

I've posted this before when his name comes up, but the media who know him pretty well say his ship here has sailed. And it has also probably sailed elsewhere. It's one thing to go through what it takes to make a roster as you age if the goal is another $2-4M. It's another if you're looking at veteran minimum deal with little or no bonus and a low percentage shot at seeing anything due to not making the roster. Rosie is evaluating his options, running his UPS business and probing the media market.

I agree with the shadow roster, but he did pretty good for the situation last year.

Why pay Colvin now and then cut him after TC? It's a waste of money. Give Woods, Redd, Crable a shot. If they all suck it up BB will be looking at other options Rosie being one of them.

With his UPS stores, Colvin is already a successful small businessman. Plus he's extremely well spoken. It may violate network policy to have an articulate football commentator, but Rosie though clearly past his shelf data as a pass rusher has the talent to be featured in the media. It's nice to see someone well prepared for a post football career.

Sure... let's bring him in... but only after 3 go down.

I agree...although shadow roster MAY be what he Rodney and Junior will be a part of.

Too funny, I thought about him during the draft. It was awesome how he came back to help out last year, seriously that's a testament to BB and this organzation.

I'm not sure he necessarily fits into a plan but I think if BB needed him, Rosie would be here.

Junior's finally done playing, I think.

He's only 31 years old. From '04 to '06 he started every reg season game and totaled 20.5 sacks. Maybe he's all healed and became an off-season workout warrior. When healthy he's a proven 3 down OLB. After Thomas I don't see that 3 down player here right now. I really hope the Pats give him an invite to camp and a chance to prove himself. Besides, if he was never a Patriot and was a FA, we'd all want to sign him for vet min. ;)

I doubt it, but I'd love to see you proven right and me seting a record by being wrong for once.

Well that record book of your's does need at least one page in it.
