Celtics Game 5 Tonight

Overtime now. What a wasted opportunity.

With 1 minute left, Doc inexplicably puts in Marbury. Then Pierce brilliantly set Marbury up for a wide open 3, which he passes up and passes to Rondo for an awkward shot. Then, on the very next possession, Marbury gives Gordon a wide open look which Gordon makes (why was Marbury trying to block his view back out?).

Only a clutch Pierce play with 10 seconds left ties the game and sends it to overtime.

Perkins and Rondo are really coming through in OT though. Marbury is still clueless, he just bricked a shot that didn't even hit rim.

Whew, great comeback win by 2.

Perkins: 19 rebounds, 7 blocks
Rondo: Another near triple double and 28 points.
Pierce: basically carried the entire team, hitting 5 straight clutch shots to win

Another great game, finally get one in overtime.

Damn, how good was the Truth.

Hitting big time jumpers late in the game.

Pierce's step back mid range shot is unstoppable...unless they finally decide to double team him. Still you give him those shots one on one and he'll drain them 80% of the time.

And good lord Tony Allen take a breath of relief. He has such a knack for committing game changing fouls.

Anyone fear possible retaliation against Rondo for that hack a miller play?
Did the guy lose a tooth afterall?

Great game nonetheless...

Marbury was completely worthless and almost cost us the game multiple times. Why Doc put him on the floor at the end of regulation or in overtime, is mind boggling. It's clear he chokes, is afraid to shoot, and is basically playing tight since he knows he's a career loser and doesn't know how to win.

How ridiculous were some of the shots in the last stanza of regulation that Pierce, Rondo and Gordon made.

Great series. Shame KG isn't out there.

Rondo...carried the team and kept them in it while waiting for Pierce to come alive...again. Thank God they won, and Thank Rondo for playing some great ball again. The refs sure seem a little biased the last 2 games LOL

I hope next game Allen and Pierce start out better, instead of waiting for the 2nd half to come alive and start playing. Rondo gets my vote for MVP of the entire series thats for sure...

if kg was out there the series would have been over already. nevermind that Leon powe isn't playing either.

Great game and win, but your forgetting a key component to the win....Big Baby!!!! He had 21 points and 6 rebounds. Also Perkins netted a solid 19 points to go with his 19 rebounds and 7 blocks, so he was also close to a triple double

I am fearing something is going to happen because Miller is mad about the Big Baby hard foul in Chicago and now this. I would look for him to take a tech or flagrant on someone. Let's win tomorrow night and get a little rest before the next series.

Perkins had a monster game (19pts, 7 blocks, 16 pts), whereas I was disappointed with Big Baby. He played almost the entire game, only had 6 rebounds, and let Noah grab 17 rebounds. Rondo is a better rebounder than Big Baby is, and has been all playoffs so far. I also thought that Baby was looking for his shot way too often, disrupting the flow for Allen or Pierce.

Let's also not forget that Perk did all that without a single foul in the game. That's the first time in his career...
