I just heard Dale Arnold say that he was going to be on for an
interview this morning.

Edit: They are going to lead off the show with his interview.

One thing worth pointing out for anyone who listens: at least he doesn't have a Southern Josh Beckett-esque drawl. :)

I am sebastion vollmer....and i'm here to pump <<<clap>>>.....you up!!!

Sounds like a smart guy, and self motivated too. Bought books and took the initiative to master the language when he came over. Be interesting to see how he pans out.

At least he has a reason for being somewhat indecipherable...speaking English for only 5 years, yet sounding much more eloquent than a great many athletes who were born and raised here.

Sea Bas is not a girly mon

For those of us who couldn't listen - - - What did he have to say?

Nothing new as far as what was already published. Seemed like a bright, tough, focused dude.

Had to stop playing soccer in Germany because he was too physical.:D

Dante interviewed him personally. Was surprised the Pats took him.

Will be in town for weekend rook camp.

Ouch! I agree with you. But don't the truth hurt.

Like Welker? lol

Is there a transcript of this anywhere?

Always interested to follow Europeans in the NFL and to have one with the Patriots (albeit a German) is good news.

Yah! Herr Vollmer ist aber intressant gehen London.

He is VERY interested in going to London in the fall. He will be flying over London at night. When you hear the sirens, look up. Be quick. You won't have much time.

Actually Emmitt Smith was the first person that came to my mind.

The only thing I got out of this interview different than above was the intimation that this was Dante's pick.

oh yeah, I see I was slow on the link, but here's your transcript............

" I Sebastian an -- storage unit and learn to speak English until 2004 is that -- that does hyperbole."

" Well our political clout who one -- Germany. You know nowhere. No it ruins nor -- Are a hypocrite than the basic -- which you know all of that what we're."

" How do art well what what was your strategy was that classes or was it just. You know talk of a different people hanging around different --"

" Yeah little built everything I guess I what first got here. Aside to make -- there's not -- you know want to be -- want to go to language or with look. This set down. All book but read well built -- language book ever heard. And despite popular. No doubt about it."

This guy is BIG - and still very athletic and light on his feet.

From what I've heard he's a pass defense specialist but I guess he's not that bad with the run either.

YouTube - Sebastian Vollmer - New England Patriots - Draft Video Profile

No one's penciling him in to take Matt Light's place but I can't help but wonder if BB sees him as a speed rusher specialist, coming in to play LT on clear passing downs when we're playing one of the teams with a speed rusher who has given Light so much trouble.

i.e. - BB wouldn't ask him to learn the entire offense from an OL standpoint - but would have him specialize on just that one task to start.

Just a theory - feel free to rip it apart.

It seems this dude is a keeper. What good foot work for a big dude.Dante is the best in what is does.He will make the 53 man roster.GO PATS!!!:D
