We are solid at 50 roster positions.

#1 OLB

#3 QB

#5 RB or #1 FB

I'd certainly agree with OLB and QB, but not sure about FB/RB. In my opinion, if BB didn't want any younger competition via the draft, at good value and cost, then I don't think after the Fred Taylor signing we're looking for anything else. Unless maybe it's some PS competition or camp fodder.

But I'm game for maybe QB (although now w/ Brady, O'Connell, Guitz, and now Hoyer, it doesn't look good either)

OLB for sure though, not sure how BB feels however

I'm not talking about young competition at RB. I'm talking about a veteran with a role. I would rather have a veteran FB on the squad than Green-Ellis. I also believe that there may be a RB role that a veteran might fill better than Green-Ellis. But then, I don't see what role Green-Ellis performs.

Just for kicks. Edge is going to be released on Monday FWIW

Interesting, did you have anybody in mind?

Deuce McAllister might be a good option on the goal line maybe.

Tatum Bell ?? If you can keep him away from cash registers and luggage, Tatum Bell can be pretty effective. Bell had 117 yards and two touchdowns against the Chargers in Week 17 and likes zone blocking schemes.

Thomas Tapeh is an good FB who had a falling out with Minny about not disclosing a knee procedure he was going to have to take before he signed his contract. He was going to be the successor to Richardson to block in front of AP but this falling out has him on the FA wire.

of those three positions I would think a true fullback would be the #1 need, followed by QB. I don't know of any good vet FB's available.... Maybe they have undrafted player in mind....

I like Deuce, but the list is long. Also, the position could be filled by a scatback who returns kicks.

At the OLB spot I might look at:

Roderick Green who played for SF but started with the Ravens. He can get to the QB and is only 27.

Willie McGinest, I just love me some Willie:D:D

As far as a thrid QB:

Tim Rattay, we sent him home with Simms last year after Brady went down maybe now we let him into the building:D He could rib Brady about going ahead of him in the 2000 draft.

Brock Berlin, I think the Rams should have kept this guy with such a weak class of QB's after the top 3.

That was Devin Moore and I think Seatle got him:mad:

Kenton Keith, was awesome when he was up here in the CFL returning kicks and I though he did well with the Colts two years ago.

According to PFT, the Broncos were looking to unload Jarvis Moss for a 7th rounder. More than likely, he will be released. He played DE for the Broncos 4-3. A potential conversion project for OLB. He has good size - 6' 5'' @ 265 lbs.

I'd rather use a roster spot on a longsnapper than a fullback. :) What's the obsession with finding a FB? We haven't really used one in years. Evans was the closest thing we had to one and it didn't look like the Pats were eager to retain him.

I am curious as to what happens with Edge. He is nearing the end of his career likely but he has had a rough time lately. His girlfriend who is the mother of his 4 kids died of cancer a week ago. She was only 30.

:(

Wow. Didn't know he had done so poorly. Just more evidence that Shanahan was poor judge of defensive talent.

Seattle removed the franchise tag from Leroy Hill, but at 6'1" too short and probably would be too costly for the pats..
