Give your best guess? I'm going to say 75%.

After the Hobbs dump/trade I'd say our odds of landing JT just increased. :D

I think the Patriots will go with Crable. No Taylor.

I now think the chances are at least 75%. Pats traded Hobbs to clear up another $2.5 mil. Either they are about to extend Wilfork or Mankins, or they are about to sign JT. I'd be happy with either move. Trading Hobbs at that contract amount was a super move. (I did vote 50% chance, but now believe it is 75%+)

I think the chances are really high. Why else would they dump Hobbs now? They need the money now to be in position to sign Taylor. Otherwise they would've waited till training camp to see which corner would be cut.

I think the last trade drops it to 25% and the reason I think that is because we didn't need to clear cap room for JT but we do for Peppers and I think he is coming now.

Isn't Crable a 3rd down LB, and Taylor a 2 down LB?

Even so, if Taylor was going to sign, he would have done so already. I'm sick of these players who think they can skip offseason workouts and TC because they all ready know the drill.

Somebody is coming for sure. I'll take Peppers as well. Happy with either of them, but I do prefer JT.

Would enjoy seeing him in a Pats Uniform... also like to see him get a ring.

This is a deceptively simple, yet profound summary..... Well stated, DarrylS

You must have hated Roman Phifer

EDIT: My pick 25%

I just can't imagine Taylor playing for the Dolphins again knowing he has to go up against New England twice a year in order to have a chance to win the division. With Brady back and a revamped defense, the Dolphins will be lucky to make the playoffs. If Taylor really wants a chance at a ring, he won't sign with the Dolphins.

I hear you. I really don't see the Dolphins repeating the season they had last year when they just kind of crept up on people. The Pats are revamped, the Jets seem better, and the Bills could take a game from them as well. Good luck Miami.

they'd need to clear a few million more to make room for Peppers. the hobbs move MIGHT make enough room for JT, but certainly not JP.

Taylor would improve the team immediately.

I make it 50-50, notwithstanding the roster crowding and the need for money to resign Wilfork et al.

Taylor is beyond loved by the whole Miami community and I think he still does some charities down there.

He is that type of nice and devoted football player that would bypass a chance to win a SB by rejoining a team whose fans consider him more than just a sports idol.

I think he still think sthat he owes it to Miami to retire a Dolphin after the Redskins debacle and I think he either goes back there or surprises everyone and retires.

25% chance he is a Patriot unless the Dolphins join another division.

Remember Marino saying no to Minnesota who gave him an attractive offer in his final year in the league? - Could be same here with the exception that it will be in the same conference which makes that dicision tougher.

Steve Burton just said on Sports Final that he was talking with Jason Taylor at the Super Bowl against the Giants and that Taylor told him that he would love to play for the Patriots. Granted this was last year and Taylor kinda knew his days were numbered in Miami and may have been hoping the Pats would get wind of it and try to figure out a way to trade for him.

Albert Breer: League sources say Jason Taylor is interested in joining New England—one went so far as to say Taylor "badly" wanted to be a Patriot. Miami remains an option for him, but Taylor likely would play a larger role in New England because the Dolphins probably wouldn't move Joey Porter back to the strong side to create a spot.
