I just want to say that this PFW in Progress web radio show is utterly and completely unlistenable. It's like WEEI, only even more mindless. I'm amazed these guys can evenlearn to tie their shoes.

I couldn't disagree more. They're honest, funny, willing to be critical of the team - just great.

I'm guessing you've never listened before, so you don't get 99% of the jokes made.

Those are supposed to be jokes?

Maybe they should try some fart jokes. It would raise the level of the show.

They have way more knowledge of football, the picks, the Patriots roster - than WEEI has ever had. I'd rather listen to this than the ESPN coverage.

If you're looking for a semi-stuffy, high-class show, listen to Murphy's Patriots. Nothing against Murphy's, but PFW in Progress and Murphy's are two completely different animals.

they are the best Pats show going right now, and they were starting to fall of the matt when they had tom casale, but now they are going strong.

Everybody has different likes/tastes.

What turns me off about that show is there just is not much meat on the bones there. I don't have 3 hours in the afternoon (or anytime for that matter) to sift through 2:49 of discussing who makes the best peanut butter to find the 11 minutes of actual NFL insight.

I'm sure you're not just sayin' that because they appreciated your side work enough to give you a column. Your an LA screenwriter, patsox, and you're writing for your teams website...

Perillo is the best of a weak lot. If they were any good they wouldn't last long (ala Reiss). They stay because while Kraft doesn't pay much it's steady work and it allows you to moonlight on WEEI as if you had cred when at then end of the day they are just fanboys writing columns... Almost to a man they resent Bill for basically ignoring them... It amazes me you can work in the same building with that man and struggle to truly learn anything...

Sports media is Kraft's achilles heel.

Didn't know that. If true, it would be the honest thing for people to disclose situations like that.

I usually enjoy their shows for what they are, but tend to find listening to their day 1 draft shows really hard work. Always better on day 2 when they're not being quite so reactionary.

I'm somewhat concerned about Kraft's lack of media savvy. PFW, excerable. And the BCN radio broadcast crew is worse. Were I not a mindless fanboy, I wouldn't listen to the radio pre or post game show. Sure it has its moments, but the on air talent is terrible.

I may be off base here but it's my understanding that Kraft is the owner involved the NFL network. I have great respect for Kraft as a team owner and businessman in general, but the cable/NFL network debacle is not his best work.

I haven't listened to it in at least a year. I believe my old quote was it sounded like a bunch of 5th graders had broken into a radio station.

If they've matured incredibly in that time, my humblest apologies.

i love my pfw boys. I didn't like them the first time I listened to them, but once I gave them a chance, they grew on me. they just cover the team and have a lot of input on the teams activities. they are always following the team (literally) around the country and see and hear things in the locker room that we don't get a whole lot of exposure to. they are by no means elite writers but they are highly entertaining once you get used to their characters.

Gresh and Zo are gawd awful on bcn.. Zolak is so full of himself , one of the few ex pats that I care not to talk to..

PFW has been good, fred made one huge mistake is hiring, tom casale, because the show became gutter humor when he was on.. He is lucky he left on his own.. Paul Perillo Im glad is getting his shot ..

I use to listen to the broadcast all the time but really don't have the time anymore. I think they can be good but at times they could drive me nuts(mostly because Tom Casale was on there). What I really like now on that site is the video's Patriots Today and Patriots Now( Kristina Akra isn't bad to look at either).

I agree. About five years ago I used to listen to them all the time. Then they got Andy Hart and Tom Casale and they got more interested in who was bringing food, talking dirty and making fun of people that wrote or called in.

I tried listening today with about 30 minutes left and they were whining about being bored and having to do the show.

The Patriots should get rid of them and start all over.
