I think BB has used the Senior Bowl alot to make up his draft board, cause both Chung and Butler played extremely well for that North Defense. I just looked back at the first period and i thought they we're the ones that stood out. Both made good tackles, we're in great position all the time. Is it normal for BB to look at the Senior Bowl? Does anyone know how many of the guys on our team have been invited to such an event?

BB is pretty random every year. No one knows why he goes to certain pro-days or watches certain games. It's good info to know before the draft though. there is definitely a trend between BB visits and draft picks.

I have to say that BB isn't RANDOM ever. There is always a method to what he does. More likely, he goes to the Pro Days of the players that the scouting staff recognize as needing his personal attention. And other coaches are dispatched to look at other players. Like Dante going to see Vollmer. One of the things that I can guarantee happens is that we don't hear about 2/3s of the trips that the coaching staff goes on to review players.

Great points. The Senior Bowl shows players' desire and heart. They aren't resting on their laurels.

This is esp. true about Vollmer, who wasn't even invited to the combine but was a very pleasant surprise reportedly at the Senior Bowl.

It's like the first week of training camp. If a player loafs during this, he'll almost certainly be a disappointment at training camp.
