Now that Cassel has signed a long term deal, K.C. can afford him.

He can sign it and be traded instantaneously no ?
 
The only Peppers traded today will be by the guy outside the Cask & Flagon on Ted Williams Way.
 
Sucks to be the Panthers. Is that a 34 year-old QB you just signed to a 5 year contract ? Yikes. 2003 is over guys... Delhomme is not gonna make a SB run...

Oops, forgot we're talking Peppers for a sec. Peppers : great addition, but money concerns will prevent it. Too bad, cause I have a feeling BB would enjoy placing him in win-win Patriot situations.
 
I don't see how we could fit him under the cap.
 
My theory is that we're giving Carolina the time it needs to realize that no franchised non-QB player is worth more than a second-round pick.
