Awww, what a shame;)

BTW--Brian, where do you live in Pittsburgh? I live in the S.Hills area

I live in the Shaler area, right by the intersection of Rt8 and Rt28. I use Rt8 to get to work in Wexford. It's lonely being a Pats fan in Pittsburgh !

i really feel for you

Trust me, after the 2010 elections, there will be MANY new faces on both sides of the aisle. Senator ComCast is in deep trouble. His "in-state" donations are shrinking dramatically, and he's trying to hit up out of state donors to keep his campaign alive.

Hopefully, Him & Murtha will end up in a retirement home together where they can make each other miserable for a change.

Not that I'm bitter, or anything like that...

ehh.... if America had any balls, we'd toss about 99.999% of them out of office. Until that happens, this "Senator ComCast" will just get replaced by another "Senator ComCast".

Yeah, it really does suck badly. The Steeler fans are rude, biased, and downright classless. Especially in years like this one, this time it seems even worse than in '05 season. We had to hear from week 1, about how Hines Ward claimed that the SB was now "theirs to be had," with the injury to TB. You can't wear too much as far as jerseys, hats, etc, without some "yinzer" trying to tackle you from behind. My GF wears her Pats hat every day in the winter, and gets so much crap for it. She can still somewhat get away with it, because she's a girl, etc. Anytime I'd wear my old Law or throwback Dillon, some classless douche would try and antagonize me, it got to the point of not wanting to draw attention to myself.

Not to mention that every Sunday, we're stuck with the crappiest games too. I finally got the Direct Tv now so I'll be in football heaven from now on. Pittsburgh got pretty lucky anyway, as they somehow avoided Indy, Tennessee, and then Philly in the SB. (who all beat them) When Holmes caught that TD pass it was so bad I saw visions of the yr before, I guess I'm just a PGH hater. I would love to be able to move to other areas, but the cost of living increases dramatically, plus family ties, etc.

Very very true. But at least it won't be "THE" Senator Comcast:)

Agreed --- I'm right off the Parkway East, and trying to find a TV with the Pats on during the season at a bar is almost impossible.

Now as far as Specter, he's screwed and knows it. Going against the EFCA after supporting it in 2007 killed him as the GOP base sees the flip as part of a pattern ("liberal 5 years, conservative 1) that is the source of the Toomey support, and the unions which were neutral to pro-Specter in 2004 and promising to be pro-Specter in the general election if he voted for EFCA cloture in 2010 are pissed as hell at him.

I think the counter-factual universe where he stuck with his EFCA position (and count on Nelson, Landrieu, Lincoln etc, conservative Dems to vote against cloture), held union support and then tried to brass ball it through either the GOP primary or run as an independent in the general election against Toomey as the GOP nominee and a token Democrat (hi Mike Lamb) would have been the best chance of him winning.

Dude, if you have the opportunity, get yourself a Direct TV subscription. There's nothing worse than trying for years to follow your team via choppy internet feeds, etc. You'll truly be very happy, it's well worth it if you're able to.

Sen Comcast and Senator Marine War Criminals. What a pair.

Whatever your politics, someone should do an article on every remaining congressman's and senator's frivolous crap from the 2002-2009 period, while our current idiotic crisis was reaching its boiling point (for the record I think the roots go way back and our last regime was just the straw that broke the camel's back.)

Definitely, I could see how an opponent could be stumping on Sen. Comcast's sense of priorities. Oh God I hope so.

Forkwad.
