Shawn Andrews, Sheldon Brown, and their #21 overall

FOR

Braylon Edwards and their #5 overall

Sorry, no link - got this info off of an Eagles MB. But apparently, Clayton said it.

BTW - Is Mangini THIS stupid? If this happens, Andy Reid and Joe Banner just committed highway robbery.

I actually like that deal for Cleveland, but the rumors are that Cleveland wants Sanchez, which would kill this.

Today is the 23rd. There are still threads on page one of the main board from the 20th. Thank goodness we can move actual news off that main board so things don't get clogged up.

it's obvious they are doing this to scare the giants into upping their offer for edwards.

Obviously - it ain't working b/c the Edwards deal to NY has been dead for at least a day now.

BTW - Edwards BLOWS - even TO has worse hands than him.

I don't agree with you. If I'm Cleveland, I take it. Braylon Edwards is really overrated and you are getting a damn good guard and CB.

Just thought I would throw this out there...

The Eagles start off the offseason by signing Stacey Andrews.

The Giants subsequently sign 2 DLs(one from Dallas), and an LB.

The Eagles subsequently made a trade for Jason Peters, but along the way at the last minute the Giants stepped in to express interest.

Both the Eagles and Giants have been flirting with making trades for Boldin/Edwards/Ocho-Cinco.

Pt being that among the sideshows we've been seeing all offseason, this Cold War b/w the Eagles and Giants has been fascinating to watch. One minute the Eagles beef up their OL, the Giants counter that with beefing up their DL. When the Eagles went after Peters, did the Giants step in just to get the Eagles to up their offer?(i.e. sounded like to me giving a 1st, 4th, and next year's 4th, much less just a 1st rounder never seemed like their intention until their hands were forced to do so) Is it also a coincidence that both teams were reportedly expressing interest for other teams' SAME WRs?

Stay tuned...
