I don't want them as superbowl favorites.

especially not after you get beat in the superbowl.
anyway, we've got week one to worry about.

The article went into mostly how Vegas sets their odds, when the biggest betting time is, etc. The Bears' stock rose after getting Cutler but the Broncos dropped since then. The Lions are 150-1:eek::

"The Detroit Lions are in a league of their own," says Sinisi. "They're 150-1, and they deserve every 150 of that one. Believe it or not the Lion (betting) money has not shown up yet. We're still waiting for that onslaught."

The Bears opened at 28-1. After acquiring Cutler from the Denver Broncos, they are 18-1. The Broncos have gone from 35-1 to 40-1.

"If you made a bet on the Bears at 28-1 on Jan. 19 … you are locked into that price," says Sinisi. "The Bears are a better team now. They're currently 18-1. … But whatever you make the wager, that's the price."

The New England Patriots, anticipating the return of quarterback Tom Brady are 5-1, while the defending champion Steelers are 7-1.

Yeah, it's even worse odds on the online sportsbook that I use.

AFC Championship win (2.2 to 1)

Super Bowl 44 win (4 to 1)

Heavy, heavy favorites. They know we're coming:)

hahah I was thinking the same thing when I opened this. Aren't the Pats among the SB favorites every year at this point?

Not according to John Clayton. You see, you just have to look and you'll find that "disrespect".

I'm sure the team won't feel the least bit disprespected by Clayton. I mean look at him...

In about 50 years he's the dude from tales from the crypt

I did not want to see that picture this early in the morning :)

Maybe I've played too much Fallout 3, but I think that Clayton might be the first of a race of post-human mutants.

So according to Vegas the Pats' odds are only 30X better than the Lions? That can't be right :p

I wish people would stop posting claytons pic. The dude is freaky looking.
I'll never forget Tom Curran telling the story on WEEI radio a few years ago about being in the press box at a Patriots game and seeing Clayton pick his nose and eat what was reaped. What amazed me was not that it might be true, but that Curran would obviously have to come face-to-face with Clayton many times in the future and seemingly wasn't worried about that prospect.
