The Patriots' media relations staff sent out a detailed packet to media members today that is designed to assist in draft coverage.

Here was one aspect that stood out and seemed worthy to pass along to fans thinking ahead to the first day of draft weekend (April 25):

# 6:30 p.m. -- Approximate time of the Patriots’ first pick (23rd overall)
# 7:45 p.m. -- Approximate time of the Patriots’ second pick (34th overall)
# 8:35 p.m. -- Approximate time of the Patriots’ third pick (47th overall)
# 9:30 p.m. -- Approximate time of the Patriots’ fourth pick (58th overall)

The draft starts at 4 p.m. ET this year.

The Pats will probably trade all of their picks for 2010 picks so we

will have to wait until next year.

Good info but I wouldn't count on it.....IMO the pats could be realistically picking in any spot between 10-100 because of the ammo they have I would watch every pick as at any moment there could be a trade and we could be on the clock. (I know this is true of any year but especially this year both because of our 11 picks and the supposed depth of this years draft class).

I would say 10-125 since we have 124. Also, there are only two rounds on Saturday, so pick 100 will be on Sunday.

True and I guess it is more like 10-two hundred somethin

This will be one year we cant predict crap. I'm watching from the start just in case BB does any trading :D

as it will be allready late here in Europe i will try to wait 'alive' till the pick n.34

So an hour later???? Did it NOT start at 3 last year?? THAT really is not good....and...last year PFT had the first picks...so..in a way it had already happened...no excitement with teh first bunch because so many knew....I liked it MUCH better with the noon start

Those of us going to Vince Wilfork's Draft Party in Milford will see that event end (6:00 p.m.) before we get a pick. Hopefully, the food will be good and the beer will be cold.

I agree with this. I liked noon better.

Living on the west coast, the noon ET start was awesome. Nothing better than waking up, having all my buddies from our fantasy league come over (the draft doubles as our "Owners Meeting" :)) and cracking open a beer at 9am. ;)

I guess now that we are all in our 30s though, it's probably for the best that the draft starts at 1pm. Much more respectable hour for the first ****tail. :D
