Jason Taylor talking with Miami Dolphins about possible return - ESPN

It'd be very, very, very difficult. Very difficult.

But at the end of the day, if you can't find a job anywhere else and the Jets call, I guess you've got to retire or go play.

But the Jets are the Jets. I've had a lot of history saying bad things about Jets fans. The fireman hat guy and all of the people in New York that are Jets fans are not the ones that are working on Wall Street. I've said all of those things. So I've got to leave it at that."

Ah, what a pathetic franchise. Note, the last part was all said with a smile.

Say what you will I really like it that at least some players take these hated rivalries strongly like us fans. Although Ty Law was up there as one of the handful of best CBs we ever had, it really irked me that during a game he would pal around with hated rivals, e.g. Keyshawn. I guess I was the kind of hacker player who during the game did not show deference to hated oponents.

But he also said this below about the PATS. He seems too attached to the Phins. His heart is there.

The six-time Pro Bowler recently said at another Jason Taylor Foundation event he would have a hard time playing for the New England Patriots after so many years hating them, but he also mentioned how flattered he was to read comments from Patriots owner Robert Kraft that they would love to sign Taylor.

"I'll always be a Dolphin," Taylor said. "There was no bigger fan last year than me. I'm leaving the field from Redskins games and running to see what the Dolphins are doing and checking my phone throughout the day. Those guys on that team will tell you: I was in contact the whole time.
"No one was happier when they went to New York and beat those guys," he said of the regular-season finale to clinch the AFC East championship.

Wake me up when Jason Taylor Decides to something:sleeping:

J.e.t.s. Suck suck suck!!!

Jason make up your mind and sign somewhere Im desperate for any football related news

Surprise, Taylor hates the Jets more then he hates the Pats. LOL

Might have something to do with the Jets winning all but 5 games or so against the Fish during Jason's 11 years in Miami.

Jets own Miami, where as they seem to play there best against the Pats.

I think Taylor would be a good signing for any AFCE team.

correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he cut?
He was given the choice of coming to off-season conditining program and getting $8.5 million dollars or getting cut, and he chose getting cut.

Me, I would have lifted the weights, but hey! What's $8.5 million anyway?

who wants a guy that runs into the locker room to see how
his old team was doing?
I don't want Taylor here. There has to be a better alternative.:rocker:

If Parcels isn't jumping to pick this guy up, why should the PATs?
Does he know something BB doesn't ?

There has to be a better alternative.

Well his name would be Julius Peppers, who i think the pats want first.. but we will find out in 2 weeks if we have a pass rusher or not..

I have yet to see one viable way of getting Peppers under the cap for this season.

Amen. Ditto for Peppers, BTW. [And, FWIW, I think the Patriots signing Peppers is like Wes Welker marrying Gisele—yeah, they might really want it to happen, but it's highly unlikely. ;)]

I like Jason Taylor, but he needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut. That said, you can't blame him for hating the Green Beans.

If the Dolphins sign a first day outside linebacker, they do not want

Taylor. If this is the case, Taylor will condescend to sign a two year

contract with the Patriots for 8 million per year guaranteed money.

I'd really like to know how they'll afford $8M when they only have $6M or so in cap space. . . . :)

Yes, the Jest have won the Jets/Dolphins championship games more often. Last year when there was a real championship at stake, the Jest came up a little short.

I guess when you have been to ZERO SB's in 40 years, which means they have won ZERO AFC Championship "owning" Miami, except when it counts, is something to cling on to.:D

L to the O to the L

For realz, yo. Not happenin'

I would have believed you if only you'd said "book it" or "write it down".

That's MAYBE year two money on a deal with Pep.

Not only that, but he isn't worth 8 million per year. I'd rather the Pats draft someone than waste 8 million on Taylor.

I was for the Taylor move instead of Peppers because we don't have to give up any draft picks and I thought he was a cheaper alternative that we could actually afford. Maybe I was wrong.

In any case, his heart will always be with the Dolphins. Parcels probably knows that and is waiting for Taylor to lower his asking price... banking on the fact that Jason won't want to sign anywhere else.
