Would you package picks 23 and 47 to move up for Orakpo?

If he's available in the 14 to 17 range would you move up for the guy?

I think he'll be available, don't need to move up for him

Nope......

No need to move up. Orakpo is a 4-3 end.

You might consider my answer a cop out, but I would be in favor of moving up for anyone who the Patriots consider the best pass rusher in the draft. If they view Orakpo as the no.1 pass rusher in this draft, then I would have no problem giving up no.47 to get up high enough to get him. The answer would be the same if they viewed Everette Brown that way.

I am not sold on Orakpo as 3-4 OLB, but if the Patriots draft him, they are...and I'd be fine with the pick.

Bingo. I wouldn't take him at 23, not that he'll last that long, much less trade up for him. 4-3 end all the way as far as I'm concerned.

I rather have Larry English to be honest!

Don't want Orakpo, reminds me of Golston.

I dont think we'll trade up to get anyone

Indeed I think we'll trade down and then maybe move around a bit in the second round - including trading for another pick in 2010

I'm sure that the Pats could make good use of Orapko, but the problem is he'd be significantly more valuable in another scheme. So by definition, to get him the Pats would have to reach relative to his value to them to snag him.

In a roundabout way, it's kind of like the reports that say Jarron Gilbert would be a better prospect at OT. Maybe, but we'll never know...because who's going to spend a high enough pick for him to switch positions to get him before those who want him to play a position he already knows?

There's just so much depth at that position that it doesn't excite me - which is the same reason that - wait for it - Barwin at #23 is just so-so to me.

For them to take an OLB converting from DE before #34 they had better think he's the next Ware or Merriman because there will be good choices at #34 and later.

Available at 23 ? I'd be really surprised.

This is what I am thinking did you see him abuse OT in college?? He will be long gone at #23, if a team does pick him up in the top 5 then I hope it is not as a conversion project (Golston) at that money. I think the team that gets him will use him like Chris Long so I really see a 4-3 team picking this guy up.

Nope with a 50% wash out rate in the top picks you get better odds of finding a player with 2 picks than 1.

The Bust rate is way lower than 50% at the top. The ones that don't end up superstars end up over paid good players, and thats fine.

As you go down, the bust rate goes way up.

Again with a strong draft this year you can pick 2 OLB and have a better chance than moving up and getting 1 guy, also the last guy we moved up mr chad jackson was a bust. while the guy picked who did not have the same measurable grey jennings is lighting it up at green bay.The funny thing is even the other pick we used on chad is a starting ol now!!!
