New 3 round mock from Chad Reuter at NFLdraftscout:
NFL Draft - CBSSports.com Football
For the Pats:
23. Aaron Maybin, DE/OLB
34. Eric Wood, OG/C
47. Alphonso Smith, CB
58. Pat White, QB/WR
89. David Bruton, FS
97. Daniel Ellerbe, ILB
I don't like this at all. I specifically don't think Maybin is strong enough to handle the edge, I don't like the Pat White pick at #58, I think 34 is too early to take an OG/C, I don't see us going CB on the first day, and I don't like the Bruton and Ellerbe picks in the 3rd. And in general, I think there are too many better fits and values that he passes over.
My picks:
23. Connor Barwin, OLB (going #41 to Green Bay; Reuter notes: "Barwin could be a first-round pick, but the Packers won't complain if the deep DE-OLB hybrid class allows someone to drop to this spot.")
34. Louis Delmas, S (going #36 to Cleveland; Reuter notes: "Delmas is an enforcer in the box and over the middle.")
47. Jarron Gilbert, DE (going #52 to the Jets; Reuter notes "Gilbert's athleticism gets him on the field right away and gives him great upside.")
58. Jamon Meredith, OT (going #71 to Oakland).
89. Jason Williams, ILB (going #90 to Atlanta).
97. Trevor Canfield or TJ Lang, OG (not going in the first 3 rounds).
