He is not in the same position to demand the contract he got last time. In 2006 he went to 4 pro-bowls in a row, and was truly the best at his position. Now he hasn't been to a pro-bowl in 2 years and has been injury prone. He should come at a discount/incentive laden type deal this coming contract.
The primary point I was making in this thread was that we need a player to replace at least ONE of Green and Seymour in 2010 and that we should draft the player now so that he has a year to develop.
Are you planning on cutting Le Kevin? Or taking 7 DL into the season?

This is exactly why I believe he'll be allowed to leave. His age and injuries are up, and his production hasn't matched the last contracted he received. I expect they'll come in low (especially if they already have a replacement like Gilbert) and let him walk if negotiations become difficult.....
