Per Gurgleburger at the Herald.

“I seriously don’t know what I’m going to do at this point,” Harrison said. “I’ll decide once I weigh all my options from a TV standpoint as well as a health standpoint. All I’m doing right now is rehabbing, golfing and having a good time with my family. I’m not pressed either way. We’ll see what happens.”

I'll go on record as saying he either plays in NE in '09 or retires a Patriot, depending on his physical condition. I believe there's a very definite reason for the June 01 date. ;)

Also, I guess it's clear the really interesting Patriots stories by the Herald staff are being stealth-published in the Soccer section.

This was a very good read. Thanks for posting it.

I hope he comes back.....one more go....as we stand now we could use him. Maybe he wants to see if we draft someone who would take his reps.

Frankly I'd rather draft a safety.

You talkin to me????

Well, since you asked - why not both options, one more run for Rodney and he teaches the young ins.

Leadership & knowledge baby.........

If he is up to it...NOTHING wrong with him playing..filling in and helping whether a new safety is drafted or not..there is leadership that is needed..and he is PART of all that. Either way..I will feel the same about him.

I would love to see Rodney back for one more year

I think Rodney packs it up and we look to a decent safety early in the draft

Rodney's time has come and a little younger at the position would be good IMO

I would love for Rodney, Big Willie, and Tedy to get full-time on TV regularly and present a more Patriots-positive perspective in national media discussions.

I'll take Rodney one more time... I mean if we keep Tedy, how can we let Rodney go. Rodney is so much more productive when healthy.

Rodney's a FA right now.

What about a Junior Seau type situation? Retire, but keep in shape Rodney, and if we hit injuries to our safeties we'll come calling. A fresh Rodney going into the end of the regular season / playoffs might be a big shot in the arm.

I'd pay to see Rodney back in uniform again this season. He may be a step behind, (that's for the coaches to decide) I just get a huge kick out of the passion and energy he emanates while on the field.

Assuming RH does not sign with another team for one last 7 figure paycheck for his family, this is one likely possibility. BB is known for his use of 'shadow roster' players.

I like Rodney, but he was too slow last year and will be even slower this year. Thanks for the great years.
