Per a league source, Louis Delmas of Western Michigan has visits scheduled with the Ravens, Falcons, Jets, Saints, Broncos, Dolphins, Browns, Patriots, and Cowboys.

Delmas also will conduct private workouts for the Browns, Eagles, and Dolphins.

Highly regarded Wake Forest cornerback Alphonso Smith is in heavy demand from NFL teams, according to a league source.

Per the source, Smith is scheduled to visit the Oakland Raiders, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots.

I had the Pats taking Hill at #89 in my latest mock from earlier today. I think that Hill and Chris Baker from Hampton will go reasonably high, probably 3rd round, due to their size/athleticism and the demand for guys that can play 3-4 DT.

I so hope Delmas lasts to 47. My biggest fear is Atlanta taking him at 24, or possibly Baltimore at 26. Otherwise he should at least last until 34. 47 is a much bigger stretch.

Delmas, hands down. Bigger need is at S, and I think Delmas will be a Polamalu kind of impact player.

I'm OK with Barwin at 23 and Delmas at 34. Quite OK with it.

I am glad these guys got their eye on Delmas. Like a few of you here. I got a good feeling about him. I'm also warming up to Alphonso Smith who I wasn't too high on with a first round pick. I'd gladly take him with 58 if he is available.

I'm not a fan of spending a day 1 pick on a CB. But Alphonso Smith at 58 would be highway robbery.

My bad, I was thinking Will Moore at 58 since he has been falling down some on draft boards. You are right he would be highway robbery.

I can't exactly claim to be an expert, but what I've seen of Delmas he brings a lot of physicality to the game, a bit like Bob Sanders and Troy Polamalu. It's a stretch to compare any college player to those guys, but stylistically he has the same kind of approach. He was ticked off at the Senior Bowl because they weren't allow to tackle in practice. He likes to hit people. He has good coverage ability and nice hands, but his mentality seems more SS than FS to me.

One of the raps on Delmas is that he sometimes takes the wrong angle and overcommits. This is probably coachable. There were a few plays in the bowl game where Casey embarassed him. But Casey is a pretty impressive prospect in his own right - I had Delmas at #47 and Casey at #58 for us in my last mock.

Several similar types as far as grades.Belichick puts emphasis on fluidity of hips.Being able to adjust body to get into routes. Samuel was great in that area. Alphonso Smith appears to have the best control of all cb's. He is short. Delmas went from unknown to the top safety on most boards. That could be a sign that this position is weak, and he is interesting. Personally I don't see him as a Bob Sanders.Needs time to play with elite talent before I am convinced. I still like Will Moore. We really need a big kid that can stick -also Moore has rare hands for a ss. I really think the Missouri defensive schemes did not help him develop. A good nfl secondary coach can teach him what he needs to know. He is very gifted. Brian Dawkins?

The guy who looked very good against the run and decent against the pass at the Senior Bowl was Ellis Lankster. Unfortunately he is known to be a turd.

I agree with you about Moore. I think we could turn him into one of the best Blitzing safties in the NFL. He reminds me alot of Adrian Wilson of the Cards. He plays great against the run and has good hands and ball skils.

I think Adrian Wilson is a much better comparison for William Moore than is Brian Dawkins. Moore has terrific size. Im just not sure about his coverage ability.
