I like the red unis also.

Just out of curiosity, what did the uniforms with the old tri cornered hat on the helmet look like?

Im sure there will be a red one unless, they are playing the jets and bills in both white. throwbacks....

Boy the Broncos look ugly.. should have had a orange one , but i guess that is what they wore in the old afl....

The white one will be a purchase since I dont have a white throwback..

I am holding out hope that we will also be wearing red for one or two of those three weeks. Why would Buffalo be wearing blue and us wear white for a home game, taken into consideration that heat won't be an issue for a night game and red is a light color anyway? Maybe the ProShop will reveal the red throwback at a later date.

I am holding out hope that we will also be wearing red for one or two of those three weeks. I doubt that they would wear two separate throwbacks. That would be unprecedented, IIRC.

Over at another message board, a poster says he knows for sure that the Bills will be wearing white throwbacks for the Week 1 game. I assume that means the Pats will have the red jerseys on then.

1) The throwbacks worn in 2002 were modeled after the club's 1982-89 uniforms.

2) I presume the Raiders will be wearing their 1963 uniforms (the first year they had a logo) since their unis have been the same ever since '64.

I LOVED the old all white uni's....being an original Patriot fans (my dad took me to the first ever Patriot game at BU Field Vs the Broncos).

Embedded in my brain is big Jim Nance streaking down the field with the /red/white/blue/white/red stripes on his pants, just a blur - or Art Graham, Jimmy Colclough, hauling one in deep from the sweet Kentucky Babe - Babe Parilli!!

Good recollection. My memories are almost completely red shirts, white pants. I looked at Google images for Nance, Parilli, Vataha, Cappelletti and Colclough for about five minutes and not a one in white/white.

Paul Perillo said on PFW in Progress months ago that there would be AFL anniversary games in weeks 3 & 6. On my previous post I said Bills and Jets, maybe this schedule was changed by the Bills getting T.O. and the NFL wanting the Brady returns game and T.O. in prime time.

If 3 & 6 are still the AFL anniversary games is it safe to assume that it would be the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans/Houston Oilers as this would see the Patriots play all the original teams of the AFL Eastern Division in throw backs?

I would like to think the Pats would be home in week 6 with the trip to London the following week.

All guesswork.

I understand that we're celebrating the 50th anniversary of the AFL's first season, but I still think the Doll-Fiends and Bungles should be included. Granted they weren't established until 6 and 8 years later respectively, but if there hadn't been an AFL those teams wouldn't be here.

Course, some of you might say that wouldn't be a bad thing.

You MUST go to Patriot Hall of Fame.........plan to stay for hours and soak it all in.

I am not ashamed to admit, my visit brought a few tears to my eyes. The opening 3D movie, the display cases of all the old memorabilia and of course three SB victory celebrations will do it.

Let me know when you do...I am good for a beer at CBS sportsscene (where you can watch endless loops of our SB wins on the huge tv's on the wall or the cool little ones right at your table, that you can control).
