I didnt want to include the link which was from Borges and the Herald since so many hate both but this is allegedly strong NFL sources that indicate that Week 1 for NE and Buffalo in Prime Time on Monday Night in Buffalo and in those throwbacks - to be seen as the first of two games that night.

Sounds like a fun game to look forward to if its true - Much to be because of the return of Brady and T.O. in a Bills jersey

A bit surprising to start the season on monday night, but seeing that the two stars of each team in the spotlight, its not a total shocker..if true

I am going to assume its an away game since the column said NE/Buf and not the other way around...of course that may not mean anything but I am expecting the game to be in Buffalo.

Wasn't there a thread here a while ago saying there was a concert at Foxborough the Sunday of Week 2 which would suggest we'd open at home (if not, we'd have 2 road games to start the season). I may be mistaken but I think I remember that.

Playing Buffalo week one has always been a really tough game so I hope it isn't' true. The Lawyer Milloy game and the other one where Brady got strip sacked for a TD the first or second play of the game.

Same game, I believe.

"on Monday Night in Buffalo "

NO years apart...the Brady stripped game was in the last few...wait a minute...THAT was game 3...nevermind.. EDIT...It was 06 and game 1....as I kind of originally thought...

No, I don't think so.

I think the Patriots ended up winning the strip-sack-first-play game. I think.

That game where Brady was strip sacked was in 2006 IIRC

I think the Bills defender that knocked it loose was Phillip Daniels and Takeo Spikes picked it up and rambled into the endzone.

Of course, as we showed here on this board, it wasn't a strip sack, it was roughing the passer.

Hmmm .... Here is a thread I found on here from December that says this is not the case .... one of the guys producing this type of information is incorrect - Perillo or Borges is missing some facts.

I would say that Borges probably has it right since T.O. was still in Dallas in December and Brady's status was still in question so maybe the NFL changed some things since then.

Bills are gonna get their asses kicked!!

I remember it as being Schobel with the sack and Fletcher with the TD.

That was a weird game. We won it on a freakin' safety.
