The Patriots have issued jersey numbers to a few new members of the club:

Cornerback Leigh Bodden will wear No. 23
Receiver Greg Lewis will wear No. 17
Receiver Joey Galloway will wear No. 13
Center Al Johnson will wear No. 60
Tight end Brad Listorti will wear No. 82

Jersey numbers for Chris Baker, Nathan Hodel, Fred Taylor, and Shawn Springs have yet to be issued.

Thanks for the info. I'll do my part to counteract our 1star db.

Hopefully WR #17 works better than the last one.

Galloway and Bodden are my favorite moves this offseason so far...

you cant forget about the Fred Taylor signing!! Thats another one other than Galloway and Bodden.

I hate numbers in the teens for wide receivers. They should all be 80s.

I agree, teen numbers on recievers just looks weird. I guess its cus of retired numbers , so there's not enough numbers in the 80's to go around. Kinda like linebacker numbers...I miss seeing number 56 and 57 (Nelson and Tippet).

Dang, you can call me dumb, but I'm superstitious:)

#13 and #17 and #'s 10-20 usually aren't good receivers. Besides Fitzgerald, the #80's are where its at.

As for Leigh Bodden with #23, I wish they swapped Wilhite or Wheatley with him. Seeing #24 or #22 reminds us of good times.

Yep, the only 80's "available" are Troy Brown's #80 (which I assume they will retire soon) and Ben Coates' #87 (also hard to imagine anyone else using it), plus the already retired Bob Dee's #89.

Give Fredy #28

Seems logic, but right now that number belongs to Antwaan Spann. I guess they are waiting to see if Spann accepts to give his number to Taylor... same case with Shawn Springs and the #24 (Wilhite has it) he has used since college.

I guess Banta-Cain will get back #95. Hodel used #48 in Arizona, but that belongs to Angelo Craig.

Givens used 87, I doubt it gets retired.

we should give this years seventh rounder number 16

Maybe you are a little superstitous;)

How about the last 2 SuperBowl winning catches?

17--Burress
10--Holmes

11--Fitzgerald (almost..)
