A day after the Panthers dismissed an NFL.com report that Peppers was close to being dealt to New England for a second-round pick, a person close to Peppers said Tuesday the Patriots are one of the teams for which he’d like to play.

We've known awhile Peppers will only go to 4 teams and one was the Pats.

When he says that he'll take $4 million to play for the Patriots, but will insist on the full franchise figure from everyone else, I'll start getting more excited. Until then, Jason Taylor works just fine for me.

Dieon and Asante also said they wanted to continue playing for the Pats. The problem being, they couldn't get a contract that was satisfactory to them. The same could be true here.
