FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Panthers deny Peppers to Patriots trade report

Has anyone else noticed how much we are hated?
Not just the Pats but ALL Boston teams.
A buddy is up from Jersey-he's a Pats fan but a Yankees fan.
He says people out of NE will actually bandwagon w/ west coast teams before the Pats or Celts. He's right-but many of those folks are not real "fans" or do they possess knowledge of the game.

The second we (PatsFans) started talking about JP again....
the "sports media" was soooooo quick to make a negative report....if anything it shows the player personnel and people handling this thing in Carolina are truly stupid. People lone dirty laundry and seeing our team hit roadblocks.

btw.....

I can't believe the Squeelers managed to get 2 rings.
Those should have been ours

Almost like flies on sh%$.

The media pounces on any move made by the Pats

and it's under a microscope too.

See how all the rat's make it?

it's all B.S. they can deny it all they want.
Where there is smoke, there is fire.
And it's getting pretty smoky around here.

Rrring... rrring.. "Hello, Kettle? It's Pot!"

A guy who's a Yankees fan AND a Pats fan complains about bandwagon jumping? And how many of these NE/LA fans did he find? I don't know anyone who does that.

I used to root for the Niners, but only after the Patriots were out of the playoffs, which back then was most of the time.

I happen to be a Yankees/Pat's fan, so I take offense to this !! Just kidding. I've been a Pat's fan since 1975 (maybe earlier, my first favorite Patriot was Mack Herron), and a Yankee fan since 1976. I was born in 1962, so yes, you can say I jumped on both bandwagons, but have suferd many lean years as a fanatical fan of both teams. I was born and raised in NY, as a Jets/Mets fan (My Dad brainwashed me), but as I got older, I picked my own teams. People jump on badwagons for different reasons, their original teams being terrible, liking certain players on other teams, etc. I don't begrudge them, it's just how sports is.

Good point:D

His friends are in NYC and Jersey.
He's also 10 yrs. younger than me-so he didn't endure the 1980's either-he was routing for the Pats vs. Giants.

Pat/Yankee Fan here from NY as well. I always get accused of it, but i dont care what other people think. There are going to be haters everywhere, I just revel in it

As much as I hate the yankees, theres a very real possibility that someone growing up in connecticut could have grown up in a home that supported the Yankees and the Pats.

I am a Pats/Yankees fan.
I grew up in the New Haven area, and was the only Pats fan around when I was growing up.

Yeah, this dude is actually my sisters BF.
He respects the Pats-played football and even wrestled.
He knew a few Giants growing up.

He even respects the Sox though he claims the Yanks are stacked to kill it this yr. I'm not a big baseball fan though-so I naturally root for the Sox.

I always like to see Patriot fans here on the board from around the US and even the world-that support us.

I was born and raised in northern NJ around all Giants fans......I chose the Pats at the age of 5 as my own...(Liked the logo I guess??) I really can't remember. I have stood by them through all the lean years as well. I am 38 btw.

I get accused of being a Front runner all of the time. I hate it. I live in Philly, so during that SB i got it bad. I actually had people put shaving cream on my car that said "Front Runner *****!" it was bad. But i got through it. I am also a Colorado Rockies fan along with ALL other Boston Teams..... but thats another story.

Grew up in NH here. I, as well, loathe all NY teams. Pats and Sox here!

Amen. I guess, growing up in Eastern Mass., I never understood how anyone could root for any NY team. Just my bias.

I just moved out of the Bronx, where I lived for seven years, so excuse me if I'm a tad confused by Yanks rooters who don't root for the Jints or Jets. But posters to this thread have reminded me (as I should remember, now living in CT) that there could be some crossover.

Pats fans, unite! :woohoo:

If you read the article you linked to, they only deny being in trade talks and that is because it is illegal for them to discuss a trade of a player not under contract (unlike Cassel, Peppers did not sign the tender.)

There is nothing in the article hateful or about hate, just the Panthers protecting themselves from league action.

I went to college with a Pats/Yankees fans, his dorm room was right next to mine freshman year. It was weird as hell, but they do exist, and they're usually from CT, I guess. When Boone homered in the 2003 ALCS, he had to lock his door and hunker down for a day or so.

I have friends who are Patriot fans and Yankee fans. We get along when we talk about the Patriots but when it comes down to baseball we feud!! I love pissing them off call them Yankroid fans :D
