Don't the Pats typically work out players they expect to be drafted by other teams to get a jump on scouting them?
I love Pat White, and it was me who said we need to go get him... however I think he fits perfectly for Houston - reuniting him with Slaton which combined in college for the most lethal rushing attack in the nation, plus Houston doesn't have a solid answer at QB giving him a chance.
Pat White had his Pro-day a few days ago, and every scout expected him to run routes, to which he refused, which left some scouts upset.
It appears Pat White wants to become a QB in the NFL or atleast be given a chance. I think Pat White could be a great back up + slash player with the Pats, and give him 3 years to bulk up to be a solid Pro...
I simply don't think unless he wants to do whatever it takes to get on the field, he won't do much for the Pats since Brady is far away from retirement... Unless the pats feel one of their 2 younger backups are dropped for a Pat White.
I feel however that this is more pre-scouting in case the dolphins draft him and utilize him in the wildcat offense.
