It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I followed them when they traded up for Matt Light in 2001, traded up for Graham in 2002, traded up for both Warren and Wilson in 2003, and traded up for Chad Jackson in 2006.This is the New England Patriots. We DEFINATELY will not trade up this year. They will trade a pick or 2 to get us an extra late 1 or high 2 next year.
Is there anyone here who's followed this team for more than the last couple years?

Patriots have a history of trading up AND down in the first two rounds.
And even if they didn't trade up more often than they traded down in the first two rounds, that would mean absolutely nothing. Those who followed the Pats in the last few years heard many times that the Pats do not take interior linemen in the first round, and they do not take line backers in the first round. Until they did.
2002 and 2003. But only those who have followed the Patriots for more than two years would know thatC'mon now, when was the last time we traded up in the 1st round?
Good comeback. I guess you told him! You're right though, I can't spell you askhole.
I'm not talking about trading up in to the top ten; I'm looking at possibly - if there was a certain player the Pats were targeting - using it to move up to #19.
As far as never trading up, do you recall the trade for Chad Jackson, or moving up in 2003 to pick Eugene Wilson, Bethel Johnson, or Asante Samuel?
Ty Warren. Daniel Graham. They don't trade up in Rd 1. You understand that.
I don't think Ohexhaulted started following the Pats until their 2007 offensive breakout season...
That's funny Mav. My join date is the same as yours, and I was here a long time before that.
With all the FA's we've signed and the cap situation does anyone really expect us to trade up? Really?
do you have downs?
Is there some meaning behind this statement?
We have needs. As the patriots have done since Belichick arrived, if there is value in trading up, we will do so. If there is value in trading down, he will do so. To say that moving up is impossible is to say that the patriots put no more tha #23 value on any players that will be picked in the top 22. There is no question at all that there are players that Belichick would trade up to say 16 or 19 for if the right player is available. The list of players most likely to be traded up for are almost all linebackers.
I hope they don't trade up. I want to see them keep all their picks to create more competition in training camp. A lack of depth has killed the Pats the last 4 years.

I'm not expecting them to trade up into the first round, though I don't discount the possibility. I can see them moving up a couple places at any time in the draft to ensure they get the player they want.Do you honestly think NE trades up in this draft? With all the veteren FA's and the current solid roster I would be surprised if they got below 23. I wouldn't be shocked, but they would be targeting someone specific.
Would moving up 2-3-4 spots really help us? Roll the dice and hope for Yahtzee!

I expect NE to roll additional picks forward, they've already moved one ahead in the Lewis tarde.I think they do trade up, only it's going to be for next years draft. BB's got a great opportunity to set things up for the future, and if I'm not mistaken he'll be here til' 2013.
