I was thinking about this while driving today. Last year, Roger Goodell over reacted and took away a 1st round draft choice from the Patriots which would have been pick #31. This was over the top harsh punsihment to many of us.

So BB, AKA "the Hoodie", quietly traded a pick last year that netted us pick #47 this year. This year he traded a player that was a 7th rounder who no one, outside of NE Patriots fans and his mother, ever heard of prior to the Brady injury. That gained us the #34 pick in the draft.

This must be eating at Jest fan and NFL Commish, Roger Goodell. The 2 gain picks could gain the Patriots 1st rounder this year or a 1st rounder next year, if the Hoodie wants to make those moves.

There is a an old saying "don't get mad, get even". I look at all that happened as the revenge of the Hoodie. I know that BB probably won't look at it that way, but many of us will.

What does this have to do with Goodell? You think Belichick wouldn't be trying to do the best thing possible for his team if it weren't for revenge?

I did say that BB wouldn't look at it that way.

But if you are a person who holds a grude, like me, for an injustice against the team that you love, it sure does feel like revenge.

I thought Gruden was fired?

The league should know by now, they can't stop BB they can only hope to contain him. ;)

And to someone like Goodell*, a former Jets employee who thought that he striking a blow againts the evil empire, it must be nagging at him.

* I still think his wife is hawt!

Hey, and assuming Goodell hates Croatians, this must make him even madder.

Yeah it must, especially with the Jests muddling through another off season. Who's their QB again?

Dude Bill is just a genius plain and simple he would have made these moves regardless of the leagues punishment

Sure he would have. But it makes me happy to think its a big "screw you" to Goodell too.

True revenge will not be realized unless and until at least one more Superbowl victory is ours.

How very sweet that will be.

It has eveything to do with Roger-I-Took-a-Twenty Percent-PayCut Goodell. Happiness for the Commish is his two year winning streak of making one team in the NFL howl the loudest by his overt discretionary actions (NE Patriots--odds 1-64). Headline: Goodell leads Dolphins to Playoffs with win over Jets in 4:15 game. I'm quite sure that when it comes to football issues that really matter, BB and the Krafts must surely know they have a smiling enemy in Commissioner Roger N.Y. Goodell.

Although i believe BB is simply stacking picks to trade around for whomever he wants, never assume he wouldnt give an FU to goodell. I still remember the f-bomb he dropped on Jackson (i think it was him). Bill is just doing whats best for the team to win a championship, but I doubt he ever forgets who screwed him on the journey. :D

I say it's much likelier that some fans are just crazy. Goodell is an idiot, but nobody has ever proven he's corrupt.

That would be some sweet icing on the cake:rocker: I love how you think Nut!
