Belichick and Percy Harvin

The more I look at Harvin's skill set, and the more I look at our options at receiver, the more I think he'd be a great option at #23. 17 TD's from 110 touches is outstanding no matter the level of competition. Having him on the field could see us running any number of plays.

And that's the Belichick dream.

I like him...but I think he's just going to serve to clog up the Welker/Watson/Faulk area. I think he'd be dynamite on the WR screens, but I wouldn't entertain taking him until #47.

I would wait outside Gillette and Egg Belichicks Suburu if he took Harvin @ 23.

Subaru? Really....

That's what I imagine him driving. :)

I think I read a story once (on here) about BB pulling over to help some dude who was in an accident on Rt95, and the guy said that Bill was totally unassuming because he was driving a Suburu SUV.

i could be wrong about the make, but it was something low key like that.

How about one of those old mazda B2000's.

Kev can't go on for ever, and Harvin would be a heck of a replacement.

He's got the shiftiness to play from the backfield, and the speed to be a simple outsider burner a la Stallworth.

I just think he offers so much that if you want him you take him in the first round due to his attributes and production, because he probably wouldn't last much longer. The Ravens could do a lot with him, as could the Colts, the Giants, the Eagles....heck, probably every team after us.

He could even go before we pick.

Semi-interesting tidbit about Percy Harvin's contacts with Bill Belichick.

NFL Insider: Warner still willing to cut pay to keep Boldin - USATODAY.com

"He's been an inspiration to me," Harvin says of Belichick. "I've talked to him several times. ... He's talked to me and told me what I need to work on. I think the world of him."

Interesting. Worth noting that character concerns, ego and quarreling w coaches things I've seen associated w Harvin in many scouting reports. Watching the guy play, I love what he brings to the table, but drafting day 1, character has to be up there w talent when evaluating.

Harvin is a classic luxury pick. Unfortunately, with the LB talent that will be on board at #23 and their need for youth, I don't think the Pats have the luxury of taking Harvin in the first.

But if he is hanging around towards the bottom of the first, don't be surprised to see BB package #34 & another second to move up for him (if he really wants him).

Harvin would be great for us and his versatility would add a whole new dimension to our already potent offense.. That said, he'll probably be off the board by #23 and won't even be an option.

I like Moreno as a better Faulk replacement type guy. Great blitz pick up guy, good in space, great pass catcher.

Versatility is key for BB. And don't forget, when healthy, Harvin is a playmaker! And a playmaker in the SEC no less.

I have no idea where BB plays Harvin, but whereever Harvin plays he will make plays. (If healthy)
