T.O. worked Springs for like four touchdowns in 2007, so they've had games go both ways.

I mean, T.O. is T.O., but I don't think there's too many corners out there that get T.O. off his game consistently by out-physical-ing him.

I hope that's true, but it might have more to do with the pressure on Romo from their O-Line and whatever scheme they used against him. But, either way - I like the Springs pick up.

This is a deep draft. Trading picks away for a future draft which may not be so deep could be a bad idea.

I could see BB trading them if he knew he'd get a pick a whole round ahead the next year.

Otherwise, why not keep them. This team's roster does not have as much depth as it used to. You can have extra guys make the roster at practically every position except DL and RB.

The problem with this thinking is that only 53 guys can make the team. Good players won't last on the p-squad.

We have a bunch of guys from last year who could break-through this year (and I assume Bill and co. have a solid bead on this).

If Crable, Wheatley, Wilhite and say Redd have had/are having monster off-seasons, they could ALL make the team (Redd being a longer shot if we bring in an FA like Taylor).

So while it's good to have quality depth, at some point you're going to end up losing guys when the picks they cost could have been moved forward (and upward) to next year's draft.

With CBA uncertainty and a lot of FA's coming due, I think having a good collection of picks for next year is wise.

Trading picks for sure-thing players (as much as that is possible) is also a decent idea. I would be very surprised if all of our day-one picks turn into draftees in 2009.
