Hey all ... have a sizable portion of the Tedy Bruschi interview with WEEI's "Dale & Holley" this morning transcribed here.

http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/

We'll also have the full audio up soon.

Thanks,
Chris

Keep it coming Chris - damned straight they found the right marshall/editor to clean up that town!

Thanks Chris,great stuff!!

Bru on Vrabes:
And the solution for both of them was for him to move on. Why? I still don’t know. I still don’t know. Losing Vrabes is … the team completely changes. It completely changes. But we’ve had big changes before. To me, this is one of the biggest for me, as a linebacker, seeing Mike Vrabel go. Bt we’ve coped with changes before (and) I think we’ll be able to overcome.

Love this quote on himself (from the Globe)

"I've realized for, shoot, 3, 4, 5 years now that you can't play football forever, and with me going into my 14th year," said Bruschi, who turns 36 on June 9. "I'm very fortunate to have made it this far and to have so much success that I've had and the team has had since I've been here. I realize this isn't going to last forever. I won't be playing football forever. But I think I've tried to ensure that when I stop playing football, the last helmet I'll be wearing is a Patriot helmet."

I got the impression that he was questioning BB about as much as he felt he could without actually questioning BB. Is that about how you broke it down, Chris?

Definitely. He did speak pretty freely about the whole thing, but he went right up to that line without crossing over.

That's it! Time to cut Tedy. ;)

Indeed. Bru covered himself with his "we've overcome before and we will again" comment, but otherwise he made his feelings pretty clear during the interview.

EDIT: He also didn't seem to feel the Pats would've cut Vrabes. All we know is, somehow and sometime, this move will end up benefiting the Pats.

bruschi's expressing what a lot of fans are feeling. thankfully, bb knows more than we do.

"And the solution for both of them was for him to move on".

What do people make of that bit? Am I reading too much into it, or is that a suggestion that Vrabel may have also felt it was time for him to move on?

Curran (I think) was on WEEI and said he has been in "electronic email" contact with Vrabel and had said that Vrabel seems "happy about being in a new place"... anyone else hear that?
