His visit to the US left an impression. He's sporting a Patriots T now that he's back in Mumbai!

It's all about branding, but cricket ( the only sport I do not understand) is the top dog in India....

Look closely at the photo. He's practicing cyber multitasking. In a few years he'll return as the highest-paid NFL player agent.

I once met a local guy in Delhi wearing a Pats shirt. I was so excited I ran to him and asked him about it. He had no idea who the Patriots are or where New England is. His wife bought the shirt for him because she liked the (red) color of it.

He spoke English and had no idea what the shirt referred to? Or do you speak Indian? I'm confused.

And probably bought it for 19 cents.

I think the kid is a "something on my back" fan.

no one speaks indian.

Damn, I'd better get my money back for my "Indian for Dummies" book ;)

Next, you're going to tell me that my Panamanian for Idiots book is no good either ;)

I've read that one too. What did you think of the surprise ending?

There are about 10,000 kids in Africa wearing Patriots, Super Bowl XLII Champions shirts and hats.

Isn't it amazing to think many Brits think the same about American Football yet understand cricket? ;)

There is a huge linguistic diversity in India. Consequently, the lingua franca, no pun intended -- and I believe one of the official languages, if not the official language -- is English.

Just googled it. Hindi is the official language. English has official status (evidently one of many.)

its a old british colony. Most of our schools in cities are english medium and most places people can converse in english although more of the british dialect/lingos.hindi is the 'official' language but the local languages changes between regions quite a bit
