Mariotti calling for Goodell to investigate "sweetheart" KC trade

Not gonna read it but I still hate the deal no way schaub is worth 2 #2's and we only get one. Sorry that is the most comparable deal to me and getting only one pickup is semi unacceptable

It's all about what the market is worth. I believe Cassel is worth more too, but when they made the Schaub trade more stocks were worth a whole lot more on Wall Street at that time. The same logic can be said here and unfortunately the Pats had to sell.

This reminds me of the wrongful borges threads I click on and later want to kick myself as I know my clicking has led to credibility of the author... all they know is that they have another reader.

Borges actually had a good article today on this trade (BB is Einstein in a hoodie). More like he took his friend Pioli.

Was Schaub worth two 2's? Just because one team messed up, it doesn't mean others should follow suit especially when they have the hindsight of the Schaub deal to observe.

At least until you invest two minutes of critical thinking into the idea.

His premise (that BB did something wrong is ridiculous) but the fact that the trade is so one sided that is warranted this article was my point.

Just another tired excuse to dredge up spygate. Say yourself the time of clicking the link. Waste of time. FTW, I want my 5 minutes back ;)

The column makes no sense. He alleges impropriety but can't even specify it and backs it up with nothing.
That is typical for a big mouth who jhas a pea barin...WAHHHHH! He is an embarrassment..I aslo REFUSE to give him a hit for his manure...

This article is about baiting Pat's fans into raging in his comments section and blowing up his page hits.

yea I know, I posted it... it was a rare thing

And in other news, Eastabrook is calling on Goodell to investigate why the Indians sold Manhattan for $24 of beads.

at first, I thought the pats got hosed, but the more I think about it, the more I think it was fair value.......and no, there would have been no #12 pick from denver......it was a 3 way deal with the bucs with the pats getting the bucs #1 suppsedly, and the bucs getting cutler

fact is, why would BB want to put cassel under the only guy he was successful for? I'd take less from the chiefs, also.......

but I also believe that deal wasn't real

hell, even borges is giving BB kudos on this deal saying that BB wouldn't do a favor for his mom.......

and you can't compare to schaub.....schaub was still under contract for cheap......

Then wouldn't he also have to punish Dallas for trading away so much for Roy Williams? Clearly there are shenanigans there, too.

Good post... makes perfect sense, this is not a decision that was made in 15 minutes or less.. it is well thought out and part of a plan.

Investigate what again?

So we're not even allowed to cheat our OWN team?

This is why it makes me angry that the differently able/mentally challenged sect of our society still struggle to find work when these ******s get serious coin to publish the first thing that comes into their heads.

Mariotti should call for someone to investigate his butthole and see if his brain is in there.

And what would be the punishment if the proposed investigation takes place? Force KC to give up more for Cassel and Vrabel?

This is like if someone was not given the proper change at a store and calling for an investigation of the person who was shortchanged instead of the cashier.

I think the Mariotti had an "investigation" article planned anticipating that the Patriots would absolutely fleece their trading partner. When that didn't happen, he went ahead with his basic premise, even if it no longer made sense.

Did Al Davis get in trouble for sending us Moss on the cheap.

Just more brah, brah, brah.

Huge difference there. HUGE. You are comparing apples to oranges.

No wonder BB looks like he's going in for a colonoscopy every time he has to talk to these asshats.

Bingo!
And then they say he's not "friendly" to the press.
Mariotti is an A-HOLE.

This article = :deadhorse:

We get it, Jay. You don't like BB and are jealous of Tom Brady (Jay blames Gisele for the AFCCG, the SB, Spygate, and his knee getting blown out). But when most of the comments on your article , made by sports fans who mostly HATE the Patriots, disagree, it's time to hang it up and move on to another topic.

Jay, take this advice:

Great emoticon. Laughed when I saw it.

I refuse the read this garbage article, but honestly I'm surprised it took this long for one to pop up.

Mariotti was last seen earlier this week questioning whether UConn's basketball coach Jim Calhoun is worthy of his salary.

Is this guy a hypocrite or what? Getting paid for the tripe he puts out?

Goodell can rescind the deal if he feels that it damages the integrity of the league by being too one-sided. He can tell the parties to go back and adjust the deal. All it takes is a call to the Broncos and to the Bucs to find out if there was any substance to the rumor of the 3 way. If there was, and it involved the #12 pick, then Goodell has grounds to rescind the deal because the #12 pick would be worth two 2nd rounders.

Now, I am NOT saying that this is true. I am just saying what can happen.

caught Mortenson on ESPN last night and he seemed to agree. He claimed that the Pats turned down the #12 first round pick from Denver for Cassel and hinted there was something inappropriate going on here.

:disagreement::steamed::bricks:
please not another 'spygate' saga..iam sick of this .haynesworth signs 100 mil the first hr of free agency. no investigation for tampering but this is fishy ?
