McDaniels Off to Great Start. Cutler Upset, Wants Out

He's being called out for immaturity as a HC and a kind of insensitivity or carelessness to situational issues... kind of sounds familiar.

It is absolutely mind boggling that Jay Cutler has been discussed in trade discussions.

He has to give a press conference ASAP and it's going to be very sticky. His shoes must be getting really tight.

At the same time, Cutler is really showing his true colors as a whiny little punk... which is even funnier because he was once called that by Philip Rivers of all people.

I can understand JD trying to aquire "his own guy", but damn it dude..... do it on the down low. Culter is a good (not great) QB, but slightly overated IMO. There is something about him I just do not like.

That said, you can do much worse without him.

I highly doubt anything will evolve from this.

Cutler and McDaniels will kiss and make up later.

If anything it could actually HELP Cutler as crazy as this sounds. He might have a chip on his shoulder and play even better next year trying to prove he is the guy.

And why in the world is this happening? Cutler is very good.

It just proves what a whiney little b**** Cutler is. Cutler and Rivers are a new breed of Qb that I think the NFL can do without. Very self centered and not very bright. Denver can entertain any trade they want too. It's their team and technically you are their employee. They own your rights. Grow the ##$% up whiney sniveling b#@!%/

Yeah they will have to talk to Cutler privately, his ego is hurt and the media is going to blow this out of proportion as usual.

I admit, I am not crazy over Cutler and Rivers either. I hope Cassel becomes the best QB in the West.

Cutler will just have to grow a set of balls and realise sport is a cut-throat business. One day your the man and the next you'll be sh!t on from a great height.

Trade talk rattles Cutler - The Denver Post

The Denver fan comments below are great. It just adds to my view that our chances of another championship went up with McKid out of there.

Correct me if I'm wrong (but I'm not) but McKid as you like to call him didn't get total control in his first HC'ing stint. The trouble with having an overweaning agenda is it limits your ablility to grasp even simple concepts.

This is all pretty classic evidence of Bus Cook (Favre's legendary well connected agent who had Tampa all lined up as Brett's fallback last season pissing an already unhappy Garcia off out of the gate) trying to stir the pot because his client signed a crappy cap friendly 6 year incentivized deal that is currently paying him only $6M per even with all but his Superbowl incentives met in a $100M QB economy... They'd been talking new deal apparently with little success until this little tempest in a teapot errupted due to no efforts on Denver's part. What would lead Tampa or Detroit to believe Jay might be available?? LOL

Although in hindsight Denver's FO shoulda taken the deal. Cutler is a such a whining baby drama queen. And diabetes will take it's toll playing a contact sport at this level, let alone in harsh elements in the superior conference. Bus knows that and that's why he want's to get Jay his money before it does, and preferably in the land of 75% sunshine and climate controlled domes and crappy competition.

I agree Cutler comes off as a whiny prima donna in this as well

One of the posts says that the only way BB can beat them, is to send in McDaniels to tear them down from the inside.

Errr... no! I'm pretty sure we beat the c**p out of them last year. Correct me if I am wrong!

Fixed your post for you. ;)

Yea. Cassel beat 'em 41-17.

I posted this in the main forum, but I guess it's more applicable here.

Apparently, Billichick leaked the Broncos attempt to trade Cutler to screw with the Broncos, and it worked perfectly...

Cutler wants out, fans (including myself) are ready to get McDaniels out of Denver, Bowlen and the Broncos have no official comment, everything's in disarray.

Unless this gets fixed soon, the Broncos are going from a promising 2009 to a disastrous fallout.

Can't blame Cutler on this one...what McDaniels did was inexcusable...he came to the Broncos organization, got off to the right start signing some key free agents...but along the way thought it'd be a good idea to trade away the franchise QB.

Hard to say how much of this is media driven, but from the initial looks of things, McDaniels is turning out to be a disaster without even coaching a game...

Anyway, as you can see just off the General Discussions on our forums, it's a mess.

HOPEFULLY this can all be worked out, because if it does, I'm certainly looking forward to our rematch this year. If it doesn't work out, our game will be more like a college team vs a professional team scrimmage...

It will be. Cutler will be Denver's starting quarterback next year and for many years to come. He's very good, but needs to be served a reality check badly. Personally (outside of a BB or a Parcells), I think McDaniels is the best candidate for that job.

Well, I thought so at first, too.

But based on his reputation, how can Cutler possibly even TRUST McDaniels anymore? This is supposed to be the guy who develops Cutler to become even better, but there is no trust or friendship between them right now.

Again, I'm praying McD can make things right and pretend this didn't happen, but I don't know if that's possible at this point.
