Hey all ... Pioli has issued a statement on the trade:

It Is What It Is

Keep checking the blog throughout the day ... we're going to have continuous updates as things keep happening.......

Pioli made out great in this deal. He gets an up and coming potential franchise QB that he KNOWS a lot about as well as a veteran leader in Mike Vrabel to transition to the 3-4 defense. And he did ALL this without giving up a 1st round pick. So he get's his new QB without the public perception that he gave up as much as he should have. It's a great start for Pioli's campaign in KC. I almost get the feeling that BB gave him a home town 'discount'. LOL.

BB left the back door open and let Pioli rob us on the way out!!!

We got rid of a useless, slow Vrabel whose only big moment this season was not holding a jet (but still getting called for it), and we got something for Cassel. Mission accomplished.

Oh, and we have space to resign Wilfork.

That is pretty harsh for a guy that played a lot and played hurt almost all of 2008.
