Just a rumor I heard 2nd hand. Some guy on the eaggles board who is suppose to be legit said Mort said it on ESPN radio.

This rumor is tearing it up at JI.

i cant believe this to be accurate. all indications were that the eagles wanted the same type of compensation for shephard this offseason as they did last offseason. last year they held out for a 1st or 2nd, didnt get that, so they kept him. i cannot imagine, with 56M in cap room they would all of a sudden deal him for a 4th round pick this early in the offseason

Sucks for the Pats if true, it will be a blitz on every passing down. Good for the Jets as they would have pro bowl talent at 2 CB and 1 safety positions.
