Not that I wouldn't take Aaron Curry, but I want Barwin, too.

More, more!I want Barwin too! Then again he was my classmate at UC so I am a bit biased!

Is he a humble guy?
Did he actually go to class?
And BBs fav question... is football IMPORTANT in his life?
Something like...
1. religion
2. family
3. football
:rocker:The one class I had with him he was there almost every day. Never really got to talk to him too much but seemed very humble and very hardworking. I like his versatility on the field too.
As a 3-4 ILB, I am not sold on Curry because we have Mayo in that spot.
I don't see the three as being equivalent. Cushing and Matthews are similar, though I'd rate them as better 4-3 prospects then 3-4. Barwin is head and shoulders above the other two. Other 3-4 prospects I'd consider pretty good fallback options if Barwin gets tabbed by someone else: Everette Brown, Clint Sintim, Cody Brown in the first three rounds, and of course Aaron Curry if BB does accept a Top 5 draft pick for Cassel.Maybe without considering any other moves,,
BB convinced himself between Barwin, Mathews, Cushing, etc, he can get what he wants at 23???, BB considers all to be very similar grade
And it was a postional upgrade he was aiming for, and the numbers all fell into place.
All pure speculation,,
Wow Ochmed, you don't like the idea of Curry at SILB? Very curious to hear more of your thoughts.

Based on his play in the ACC, I see him as a pure 4-3 OLB. Really hard to project him inside in our defense taking on OG, C and FB's after watching him run around blockers for 2 years in college.
I don't see him playing the Mike either, and Mayo's too good in the Jack to move him. I actually project Curry as a 3-4 Sam. I think he would have to start out as the Will though, as he's highly unlikely to be better than Adalius for a while.
Adalius would be the Mike though, if we did draft Curry. Then Woods/Crable/Redd/Robertson vying for Will.
That would be freakin awesome. Plus the 4-3 sets could have Thomas at DE and Curry-Mayo-Guyton as LB's that could really cover the field.
