Boston Globe thinks we are looking at him. I wonder if this is true. He's certainly a playmaker in the mold of asante samuel. i think hed be a great addition

Reiss said (in his mailbag) we were interested in him when he was released and were disappointed he went to Washington instead.

Hall's inconsistency is a little maddening, and I'm surprised the Pats like him so much - but I'll take their scouting over mine, obviously.

No no no no no no no no no no. Please god no.

Re: DeAngelo Hall

He's a player who'd need to have a prove it contract, about all I've heard/seen from him in recent seasons is tears and whine.

Well we don't know how much they like him, it could simply have been that he was the best available option when it became clear O'Neal wasn't working out. The available talent is obviously very limited during the season.

I think that's more likely. Given we still have the other free agents, developing Wheatley/Wilhite, and the draft coming up, I'll bet the Pats right now feel they have more (and maybe better options) for an upgrade.

Re: DeAngelo Hall

I think he'd be a fine play-making nickel back, but would not feel comfortable relying on him every down. But then again, I'm a dude on a messageboard, and he is Bill Belichick, so .....

he started over Carlos Rogers in Washington. from all ive heard, I thought he had a pretty good season in Washington.

Good points. But, he's also a guy who will probably get paid decently, even if its just a one-year prove it deal, so they at least have to have confidence he can contribute - on some level.

Re: DeAngelo Hall

maybe he can form a new backfield with someone pacman, another DB people have mentioned o.o

Maybe we can see if TO is available while we're at it.

He was starting over Rogers? Are you sure?

I remembered reading a post on Rotoworld a while back....i found it

DeAngelo Hall-DB- Redskins Dec. 18 - 3:34 pm et

Redskins defensive coordinator Greg Blache said Thursday that DeAngelo Hall will continue to start opposite Shawn Springs at cornerback.

Carlos Rogers appears to be getting weeded out. We can understand that Hall probably looks exceptional on the practice field because of his natural skill, but the Skins are going away from the guy who's been their best and most reliable corner all season. No wonder they're going to miss the playoffs.

Re: DeAngelo Hall

You never know how hard they're trying, but this must say something for the guy...

The Washington Redskins plan to pursue Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth if he becomes a free agent tomorrow -- though it appears their salary cap situation might prevent them from signing the Pro Bowl performer -- and hope to reach a contract agreement with cornerback DeAngelo Hall before the market opens, NFL sources said yesterday.

If the Redskins are looking to bring him back...he must not have been that disappointing to them. Sounds like its more of a money issue.

I don't trust the Raiders to do an accurate assessment on him, so if the money's right I'd be on board with signing him.

To go on record... I'd love to see them get a stud corner in FA and focus on LB and Safety in the draft.

me too. CB's usually take a year to get acclimated to the pros. Safeties and LB's have shown smoother transitions into the pro game

With the exception of DeAngelo Hall, who - after 5 years - has YET to get aclimated to the pro's.

in your guys system, they could definitely rejuvinate a guy like that into an asante level cb, maybe even better

pats would probably be good for him, he's been a troubled player with attitude problems who needs discipline

ya know he's not that bad, with the skins he played good, with atl he slipped near the end , but not even close to as bad as cromartie played for sd last season

and in oakland, well just about everyone plays like garbage in oakland

nnamdi aso outside of oakland (since he's so good in that ****-hole) might actually have had a chance to be the greatest cb in the history of the nfl

imagine aso on a team with a pass rush.....damn....

I watched him play for years in Atlanta - He's not good at all.

In fact, until he got cut last year - He was the most over rated player in the National Football League.

And to say his level of play could be raised to an "Asante" Level, is a huge injustice to Asante.

he started to slip near the end in atl, but before that he was very good

he let alot of his bad characeter issues mess up his game

he just needs discipline, and you guys specialize in that
