Add "Free All You Can Eat Buffalo Wings" to his contract and tell him to come on board the USS Super Patriots!

Impressed? What did the Bills tell Taylor, we don't win nearly as much as the Patriots do but our chicken wings here are fantastic and our uniforms pretty much have the same colors as theirs have?

It depends what he is looking for, to finish his career with the prospect of grabbing a ring or to just finish his career.

...and our away uniforms pretty much look like your kids' pajamas.

I think there's a reason why he decided to stop in Buffalo first, then Foxboro. For Fred, Buffalo should be a place to visit once a year, max.

Recruiting Taylor will be easy for the Pats.

"Hi Fred- meet Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Wes Welker. Because of these guys, you'll rarely see the box stacked against you."

A couple things: Fred Jackson is pricing himself out of Buffalo, for some reason. He's making outrageous demands. Lynch's troubles will get swept under the rug.

Also, the last couple of days were two of the coldest in Buffalo this year, just frigid and windy. Tomorrow (today, it's 2 am here) the temp rises into the 40s for a few days.

OK, so i guess im the only person who is comfortable going into the season with;

LoMo (this is the year he stays kinda healthy.lol.)
Morris(tough inside runner who hopefully stays healthy)
Faulk (always dependable)
Law Firm (tough inside runner who might be even better this year, and is CHEAP)

We have a good group of runners right now. I would wait till camp to decide if we need someone else. Maybe bring in someone to help in camp so we don't get the starters hurt, but that's it.

I simply don't see what all the fuss is about a guy who's past his prime. There's other options out there IF we need them. Let's not forget, Taylor has had injury issues in the past too.

Here's Fred Taylor's interview from Buffalo. Apparently his wife attacked him with an axe or something? ;)

I like the way he talks about teamwork.

Yeah, it's a no-brainer. The deal will be announced today.

I'd love me some Freddy. In fact, while I'm not a Maroney hater at all, I'd consider seeing if we could do a mega deal with the Chiefs for Maroney and Cassel while we could go with Taylor/Morris/Faulk and a mid round draftee. Sounds like LJ is going to be gone from KC and Jamaal Charles is a part timer.

Taylor at his age has more future than Law Firm....Don't get me wrong I like LawFirm but he will be nothing more than a back up.

LoMo - I think he should get another shor as he has shown enough talent but lets not count on it.

I am with you on Faulk and Morris.

Why not add Taylor who also likelt will be relatively cheap to which is why you want Law Firm instead.

I also think Taylor, given his age now, would look favorably on a RB by platoon situation as here in NE. It would IMO add some year(s) to the remainder of his career being used sparingly.

Impressed with Buffalo? Show him the Three Lombardi's and Tom Brady's locker.

That's so true!lol

The thread title served it's pupose by catching my eye.

The post/pre season acquisitions just happen. Players have the final say with their agents and if I was a healthy Fred-I would choose the Pats. I think Jordan is gone-not sure. We could use Fred but there will be other backs available too and don't give up on LoMo. I think we still have BJGreen too-not sure.

Good luck to Fred if he decides to go to Buffalo. He'll need it going up against our defensive WALL. Different division baby!

Anyone know if we are keeping BJGreen and Evans?

That's a horrible trade. You don't trade someone like Maroney while his value as at its lowest point.

I didn't propose a trade, how can it be horrible ?

I apologize. What on earth are you talking about here?

I said a Cassel/Maroney deal would make sense to me if we were signing Taylor. That wasn't a trade, I didn't say what we'd get back. How about five #1s, would that be a good deal ? You can't judge a trade until you know both sides of it.
