With a record of 44-11 There is not much to complain about. We are first in the eastern conference and been playing solid as of late. Maybe we could use a veteran big man but I think we could do without.

They have an easier schedule in the second half, as they do not play as many back to back games. The younger players on the team will still develop, and hopefully someone will step up off the bench. Rondo was f'n great against Dallas. The fourth best player on the team, and he can totally take over a game (not that Paul Pierce didn't win that game).

As a Heat fan (and knowing that the Celts and Cavs are the measuring sticks in the NBA), how do you guys react to the Jermaine O'Neal trade to Miami that took place yesterday?

i dont think it was good deal for Miami. O'Neil is not what he once was in my opinion. i dont think it makes them any better.

Well we needed a big body in there badly. I do agree that O'Neal wasn't the best we could have gotten as far as centers go (I would have rather had Brad Smith) but he is a rebounder and has been healthy LATELY. Plus, Beasley now steps into the roll that Marion was in. I'm definitely interested now, but I'm also realistic. The Heat won't make it past the second round.

i question the guys heart also. he just doesnt seem to be that interested or care that much what happens on the court. he looks burnt out.

Hopefully Miami can be a place of rebirth for him. Have you ever been to Toronto? I would be burnt out living there too. ;)

he was burnt out in Indiana also. he may get more burnt out in Miami but from to much south beach night life. there is a reason the guy keeps getting traded.

Personally I think it is a wash, both great players with good defensive skills and great offensive skills. I would personally rather have Jermaine O'Neal, but not by a large margin.

Well, it looks like the season is going to come down to the results of KG's knee. Hopefully we get some good news.

suddenly home court doesnt seem so important anymore. just give us a healthy KG and we will take our chances come playoff time.

I usually take a positive attitude with the Celtics, and after the two games I’m not overly worried. Plus look at the current Conference standings. Keep in mind we only have 24 games left in the season. After orlando there is a big drop off

if kg wasnt out i would think the celts would end up with the best record in the east at least. but with him out im not so sure. the sooner he gets back the better in terms of best record.

We’re def. both in agreement with that. This team eventually will need KG down the stretch of the regular season to secure home court advantage throughout the playoffs. As long as the team can hold there own for the next few weeks, we should be in good shape.

Side note, any season ticket holders out there? I got the invoice today for the playoffs and next years regular season. Is that how early they usually send it for the 2009-2010 season?

The top seed is going to have an easy road to the ECF. The 2 and 3 seeds are gonna beat each other up only to play the top seed.
